Logged in today and had this problem. I now have negative 30 enchant points an am unable to upgrade the enchants on my armor. Restarting did not fix this.
Duplicate your character. Your character will have the correct amount of enchant points, and you will be able to level up and enchant armor, but your whole inventory gets wiped out except for what you were wearing.
Which isn't an acceptable solution, as I have many artifacts I ground for to use for choice situations, and unique gear that was enchanted as well that I was saving, loosing those enchant points as well.
The reason you have negative enchant points is because the game duplicated your amour for some reason and it is in you inventory, meaning you have negative enchant points to pay for the duped armor.
Salvage all the duped armor and your enchant points will be reset to what they were.
Seems like it worked for me because my level wasn't made negative, so you lost 10 enchant points getting your level rolled back somehow. I feel like these are two different bugs and are being tracked as the same for some reason
I validate, my stuff has been duplicated, so I recycled the items and I recovered my enchantments, I had this problem by doing several times the secret dungeon "???", this also duplicated my artifacts.
This happens often on local co-op. Player one always gets duplicate items, negative enchantment points, and gets dropped back to the previous level when local co-op was started, sometimes by 10 levels. This needs to get fixed.
It looks like we didn't get the duplicates we were before and, from the update notes, they fixed that part. However, that actually makes it worse since now you can't salvage the duplicates to get your enchantment points back and I was dropped from level 132 to level 85... at least I got to keep my items and power rating.
This issue seems to be happening to a lot of people. Is this bug being looked at? It appears to be a big issue since users are loosing a ton of progress. Any updates or information to report?
I dropped back almost 50 levels! From level 110 to level 64 and -81 enchantment points! I was told they couldn’t do anything to restore my account. So incredibly frustrating 😫
My profile is both duplicating items in inventory and when that item is salvaged it creates a negative number of enchantments (inverse of expected action)
Logging in for a local game w/ multiple players has caused 3 of my avatars to break like this. I refuse to sink any more time or money into this game while I cannot accrue any progress.
I notice this is only happening to my child account. It wont let me join him on online mode, so we play offline. He continues to get the glitch on his account and demotes and goes negative enchantments. Can we get any kind of comment or status from the DEVs?
This is happening to a lot a people and every single response is "this is getting adressed in the MCD-2392"...so frustrating, considering removing the game entirely, since no updates are published. How hard is to recalculate enchaments considering level and enchanted gear??

I play exclusively on xbox one s, and frequently switch between single player and local multiplayer (often switching between which xbox profile starts the game, and who is assigned P1 through P4.) Most recently it duped my equipment, went back 10 or so levels (so I still have negative enchantment points after salvaging the duped equipment) and I believe level unlock progress also got rolled back.
Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
