For some reason, the guy is always a grouch, and his NES-style dialogue reveals his innermost desires: to "get Kirby." And while he shares similar abilities to the pink puff, Dedede considers Kirby his mortal enemy...even if Kirby is usually oblivious to their supposed "rivalry."
