117 - How the King Stole Christmas (Part 4)

Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I try to make BitF special during that time. This parody storyline was a great deal of work, but a lot of fun in terms of adapting Dr. Seuss's classic tale to fit the cast of the comic (music included). The story was a big hit with the fans and ended up being a nice way to close out the first year of BitF. It was also the first of several multi-part story arcs, which also became a staple of the strip.

So that ends this story arc. Hopefully you didn't find it too sentimental...but if you did, it's Christmas, ya crusty curmudgeon!

I didn't want to reprise the same ending of the Grinch, and I didn't want the story too be too cynical (or too saccharine) either. This made this final part pretty tricky to write.

Anyhoo, that's it for me this week. I'm taking Friday off, on account of it being Christmas and because this story arc nearly killed me. Hopefully you enjoyed it!
