Halloween's fun, so I wanted to try for a ghoulish comic this time around, complete with some spooky visuals and a surprise ending. The intro with Adeleine was a nod to both Alfred Hitchcock and The Simpsons.

Oh, dear naive Kirby, what horrors lurk in the back of your mind, waiting to arise in a moment of creativity with no boundaries?
There's a pretty hefty amount of content in this strip; enough that I considered splitting it into two and making it a three-parter, but I didn't want to stretch the premise too far considering it's already three days after Halloween!
The initial punchline originally centered around Kirby's super-cuddly ending, but I think this is less predictable and I always enjoy unspeakable horrors that are left up to the viewer's imagination.
Here, check out some early quick sketches I did last week prior to deciding on a concept. I still really like that Mario parody of The Birds and planned on making a faux movie poster bonus image to go along with Friday's comic, but I ended up running short on time. Oh well.
