For the setup:
Play Mage, Steal their portal with Sylvanas, silence it with Wailing Soul, create a golden copy of it in your hand with a golden Echo of Medivh, place it on the board for 4 mana (it doesn't show a mana cost but it actually costs 4).
All the new cards you get in your hand and you deck also become golden.
Have fun :D

Not a problem persay, but yet another thing to take into account whilst building your tavern brawl deck. Also I suspect this will limit the number of players who will be able to attempt Shadow Form Cow King...Cho isn't exactly a legendary people would like to craft of their own volition. Most people probably even dust him when they do open him.

People have done the 500 win portrait flip as Jaraxxus and Ragnaros. It's not too hard to jump to the idea that you can do it as the cow king if you forget that it has to be done in ranked mode.

No. The stealth part is important because it negates spells and battlecries and means if you get an immune minion taunt has no effect on it.

Only for classes and characters that already had the emote recorded before it was removed. Now that it is removed they aren't going to waste any time recording and loading it into the game for new characters, since it isn't used.

It makes some sense with Noggen because Blizzard was too lazy to completely remove all the sorry emotes.
For the Cow King to have a sorry emote would mean someone would have had to record an extra line that would only be used for an extremely obscure interaction.

It's like adventures, all AI cards only don't have any animation. Only the Twisting Nether? had the golden animation, they probably just copied it and changed the text.
The cow and everything else were basic cards with golden portrait sadly.

Another method then provided you do the initial Sylvanas steal would be to use a Golden Kel'thuzad as shaman with reincarnate / ancestral spirit provided you can target the silenced portal with ancestral/reincarnate it'll work. Golden Kel with ancestral, reincarnate silenced portal and it'll revive unsilenced, turn you into cow king, golden kel would revive a golden portal and then bamn golden cow king.

I'm pretty sure that even with Noggenfogger it couldn't ever cast Convert on the portal. Targets still have to be legal. Could be wrong though.

I'm not sure how this would work with immune targets. Casting Shadow Word: Death into Spellbender kills the 1/3 even though it's not a "legal" target. Casting bestial wrath and trying to get some spell to land on the immune minion with Noggenfogger out seems like an easier scenario to set up with a friend to test.

I don't think you can target the portal while it's on the opponent's side of the board, and you can't Convert it while it's on your side.

If you play a golden Mind Vision into Lorewalker Cho, does your opponent get a golden Mind Vision? If so, we may see a double golden Cow King soon, though it would be hell to set up.

An easier way would be Lorewalker Cho and give him a Mirror entity secret. After he plays it, play your golden portal. (keep it mind that makes a lot of combo cards to hold in your hand and you need to survive his assaults while triggering his secret so the hardest part consists in staying alive which makes it even harder the more combo card you need to have)

6 hours by trying differents classes and decks and not dying by turn 6 and not drawing the combo cards too early and not getting shitty secret.
On this try i got the 9+ cards secret by accident so all my combo cards became 1 mana and it made it so much easier (especially after i accidentaly triggered the last secret with a battlecry and didn't have 1 more turn to spare, whoops)

I won with a yogg rogue with 24 minions killed with 3 secrets revealed and he didn't transform did I miss something?

When you remove the last secret, there is a special card that spawns on his side of the board.
The minion is immune and will transform its owner into the cow king.
Usually it's the dark wanderer that gets it but if you trigger the last secret during your turn, it gives you an opportunity to steal it with sylvanas for exemple and then in this thread the goal was to transform it into a golden version.

i only played 1 tavern brawl and this happened to me with Sylvanas on first try. I didnt event noticed it and i thought that being cow king is normal. Only today i found out that you should fight against cowking, not be one
