Do you remember what kind of weapon was it? Did it display correctly in the notification and were you able to use it after receiving it, or was its icon blank? If yes, did the game crash when picking it up?

So apparently, items that were brought into the game and have custom set values have the possibility to be corrupted. These will in return corrupt your save file and do the infinite loading screen. I have the same issue, however I have not tested deleting the save file. It looks like for now you'll just have to create a new account and use the new cloud save feature.

The statement from the above comment is very likely to be true.

I have deleted my save, and it was unsuccessful. The screen still stays stuck infinitely. I am unsure of how to fix this.

Does anything change if you log out of your account and then log back in?

I've already restarted the xbox, it saved to the cloud, however it looks like the corrupted data got saved too. Even if i delete the data then it does the infinite loading screen. I might just have to erase it completely even from the cloud save. I think my corrupted file might have to do with the amount of items I had, because I collected nearly every unique in game and kept it like a treasure trove.

Please see if erasing the files completely helps resolve the issue. If this does not, please consider contacting Mojang Support for assistance and/or a potential refund request.

I will try erasing it completely, however I thought this was the place to go to for assistance? Why would Mojang Support be the option to consider?

Mojang Support can offer assistance with technical issues and account issues; if erasing all save data will prove insufficient in solving the issue, then it is likely that this is one of the two aforementioned issues.

We cannot offer assistance with issues of such nature as we do not have the necessary tools on this bug tracker. If erasing save data proves insufficient, please contact Mojang Support.

So I have deleted everything and, it has worked. I am able to play the game without anything hindering the performance except for the occasional lag from Xbox and the random teleporting when in co-op. However, I find it really sad that I had to delete everything and lose my progress just because someone else gifted me an item.

So Shadowshard, if you delete everything even from the xbox network, it will start letting you play again. You'll just have to make sure you download your hero to the cloud save to keep it safe.
