Attempting to family share the game results in an error saying 'Game Ownership Not Established'
Here's what I did to family share the game
Login using the game owner's account
Download the game
Log out
Login to the other family user's account
Play the game
But as soon as the other family member enters the game it results in this
Is there something that leads you to believe this should work?
I'm not saying it should or shouldn't but the error would seem to line up with what you are doing. You've logged out of the account that owns the game, being an online game you may not be able to do what you're expecting. (but again, I'm not saying you can or can't, just checking if you've seen information that says it should be possible
)
I've done this before with multiple family members and shared minecraft windows 10 edition and other games I own and it always worked, I could play multiplayer with them as if they owned the game
There's also this post addressing that this is possible to do with purchased apps (Like I did with minecraft windows 10 Edition) https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/sharing-apps-with-family-members-in-windows-10/afdde4f9-d58b-49a9-8b5d-1aad2599b987
Also this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/henrikn/sharing-windows-10-store-apps-with-your-family
I'd also like to mention that my friends have done this with sea of thieves and they were all able to play together with one person only buying it
Thank you for your report!
