People are answering your question just fine, but here's the history of it.

There was a reddit user a long time ago who responded to an askreddit about their favorite youtube videos. He said he collected links to videos that were 14 seconds or less, and he called them 'youtube haikus' because they serve the same purpose as a haiku does to poetry, they get a short point across and don't waste any time. He shared his list and people loved it, so they made a subreddit just for it.
