The part after Sylvanas screaming "for the Horde" where the orc hands the stick to the Alliance sailor, only for him to hand it right back after she says the Horde is nothing... Absolutely hilarious!
Basically? Horde and Alliance fight constantly. World-threatening villain appears, they band together. As soon as the villain is down, they start fighting again.
Love it. Maybe itโs just me, but the scene where the human hands the orc the spear just kept getting funnier and funnier as the different expansions went by

Its important to keep in mind though, he changed it the last time.
The method OP was using here is called subversion. A very effective way of using the buildup and breaking of tension to make the situation more funny or dramatic.
Iโve come to the conclusion Stephen King was hired to write all the expansions. Most start with an fairly decent premise and mechanics that are engaging for a few months then just falls flat.

The first time to introduce the idea of the joke, the second time to establish the joke, the third time to establish the irony, the fourth was for the chicken/dark portal joke, the fifth was to hand back the stick. Seems like the video had more thought put into the story than BfA.
Yes we did the night elves were pushing the legion alongside us because they came back for round 3. This was coincidentally personal to the alliance because Illidan was involved.
I guess for the opening of the dark portal on the steps to hellfire peninsula, and for the sunwell patch to capture the island before the raid unlocked, yeah we teamed up, but consider; tempest keep, gruul's lair, serpentshrine cavern, magtheridon's lair, Karazhan, Zul'Aman, and finally Nagrand and Terokkar pvp targets for zone buffs. Not in any of those did we have any meaningful interaction with someone from the opposing faction. Only the horde involved maeiv to defeat illidan, which keeps it off the list.

I love stumbling on stuff like this, cause it looks so low quality and low effort at first glance but it is cinematography perfected.
Striking the perfect comedic timings and cuts, just the right length of build ups to pay offs. It's like condensed cinema. Just perfect - everything from the lower case title to the 'comedic' jab at Blizzard for reusing the same formula again and again. Very well done Ran.

I have been explained the story in detail, looked up videos, tried so hard to deeply understand, read books between work and social life. But nothing came close to this.

I love how every expansion the human hands the orc the spear, but in BFA the orc hands the spear back to the human. Very subtle detail that made it way funnier.
Well done. Very accurate. Main reason why I'm tired of the Alliance/Horde conflict. I don't ask them to become buddies. But from a gameplay standpoint and in order to reduce waiting times and roster issues, I'd be fine to PvE with players of the other faction.
After having fought so many common enemies together, that would not be a huge stretch.

Been saying we need to have the factions ally and then create a new second faction: Saboteurs (can't really find a fitting name that could encompass both Horde and Alliance players).
This new faction works to subvert the alliance (lowercase on purpose).
For the Alliance, I'd have the Defias Brotherhood; betrayed by the nobles and having faced the Orcish Horde first hand, they do not sit well with this truce.
For the Horde, I'd have the Warsong Clan; set up as the elite guard under Garrosh, they still feel his way was the true path for the Horde. Those betrayed him...will be ground to dust.
Now use the existing PVP Merc System to allow PVPers to 'disguise' themselves as the opposing faction and go about murdering their own faction. - Making it look like the other faction is "at it again". - You'd become that other faction too in the "eyes" of NPCs; no waltzing into SW! :P
You gain Repute (think of it like Honor Ranks) with in your organization. Higher Repute grants access to more difficult quests (ie: Kill 10 humans in Stormwind [Must yield XP or Honor])
Lower Repute would be "just go poison the hay with this weakened plague we copied from The Forsaken".
Maybe even have it affect your reputation with the existing subfactions...if you aren't careful. Possibly permanent. Maybe wipe it (for coin) with a new identity. - In Lore only, you still look the same, but "lore wise" you had the equivalent to Facial Surgery (using magic) and New Identity.
Treat it like the old Respec costs, it'll go up the more you do it; Mages get irritated.
I'd not force "face changes" just because that's a dick move. And the devs should just be upfront that they don't want to force people to pick a new look.
((I would come right out and say Battlegrounds and Arenas are completely independent from the Lore and not considered canonical beyond the names/places existing.))
Like look at EVE Online. Lore-wise all the empires are in a state of Truce. But you see corporations blowing each other up. WITHOUT AFFECTING THE LORE.
This would free the devs of the shackles of constantly trying to 'fit' PVP into the story. While still giving them a plausible reason for an expansion dedicated (supposedly??) to the two sides fighting. - Imagine in Legion, near the mid-point of the expansion, a quest by the Sabs to kill Anduin and make it look like the Horde was behind it. From there tensions rise...and BAM! Battle for Azeroth is announced as the next expansion.

But if I was looking for a more in depth retelling of the story, where could I look? I've been playing the game for a while, and some bits of the story are still missing for me. I got into wow pretty late. So I'm way behind.

MoP was not only a heavily underrated expansion, but the perfect one to end the faction conflict on in a canon sense.
Unfortunately they couldnโt bring themselves to do it, with the unintended consequence that both the faction conflict and our Generic Truce #6261 in the face of whatever new big bad pops up looks nauseatingly hackneyed.
Exactly why I've quit. After the RPG elements was removed, classes were pruned(multiple times), timegating became worse and story just became stale I just gave up. I'll wear my Horde logo to the grave remembering the good times. Shadowlands will officially be the first expansion I'm not going to buy after my 14 year journey with WoW.

Cataclysm wasn't Horde and Alliance banding together. It's actually an exception in the lore based off of our understanding and as clearly stated in Volume III of the World of Warcraft Chronicles. The Horde and Alliance were consistently at each other's throats in Cataclysm, with Garrosh's warmongering and willingness to capitalise on the devastating brought on by Deathwing.
It was the champions who were willing to put aside their differences and work alongside neutral organisations like the Cenarion Circle and the Earthen Ring who were the real heroes against the Twilight's Hammer, Elemental Lords, and Aspect of Death. Like with Ulduar, the Horde and Alliance don't get the credit.

Garrosh failed to use diplomacy at any and every turn. That, alongside a burning hatred for the Alliance, is just about the core of his being, the two things that stayed true no matter what narrative they were trying to push at the time - even when early Cata and late Cata kinda contradicted one another.
With that said, he is far more relatable than Sylvanas is, and his motives were actually pretty good. He was in a bad situation, and failed to make the most out of it, but he tried. Then he went a bit... crazier.
A "True Horde" did fail. Spectacularly. The Iron Horde was a catastrophe, as was Garrosh's "True Horde" that got beaten by the Darkspear Rebellion and Alliance.
I'm using logic and reason to tell you why it's clearly wrong, though.
It doesn't help people to just go in-universe and talk from a single character's perspective. We have a much better perspective, often getting to know multiple characters' perspectives and having a ridiculous amount of meta-perspective.

So does just about every villain that manages to piss off both the Horde and Alliance at once.
Garrosh was made warchief in the middle of a war he didnโt start. He got 0 help from thrall and his friends. He had to manage a cataclysm, a war, a divided faction and his own hate for demons, all alone. The horde family didnโt embrace him for even a moment.
He did everything he could to protect the horde, but the other races started abandoning him one after the other. This led him to become racist and lonely. He found a couple of other racist orcs like malkorok and hanged out with them. Later the sha corrupted him and amplified his negativity by 1000%.
After the events of pandaria he stood trial and the court decided he will get to live. He escaped prison before his trial to go back in time and save his kind from getting corrupted by the burning legion (honestly thatโs the noblest thing anyone ever did in lore). Once that was done he decided to invade Azeroth and fortify the planet against an imminent demon attack. Thrall murdered him and the demons came right after that, just like garrosh said.
Can his actions be logically explained? Yes. So what? Screw logic and reason because blizzard decided they need an orc villain to help introduce their orc expansion. They did exactly the same with sylvanas, an undead villain to introduce the undead expansion. You canโt ask for logic or reason in video games.

I guess for the opening of the dark portal on the steps to hellfire peninsula, and for the sunwell patch to capture the island before the raid unlocked, yeah we teamed up, but consider; tempest keep, gruul's lair, serpentshrine cavern, magtheridon's lair, Karazhan, Zul'Aman, and finally Nagrand and Terokkar pvp targets for zone buffs. Not in any of those did we have any meaningful interaction with someone from the opposing faction. Only the horde involved maeiv to defeat illidan, which keeps it off the list.

I love stumbling on stuff like this, cause it looks so low quality and low effort at first glance but it is cinematography perfected.

Well done. Very accurate. Main reason why I'm tired of the Alliance/Horde conflict. I don't ask them to become buddies. But from a gameplay standpoint and in order to reduce waiting times and roster issues, I'd be fine to PvE with players of the other faction.
After having fought so many common enemies together, that would not be a huge stretch.

Been saying we need to have the factions ally and then create a new second faction: Saboteurs (can't really find a fitting name that could encompass both Horde and Alliance players).
This new faction works to subvert the alliance (lowercase on purpose).
Now use the existing PVP Merc System to allow PVPers to 'disguise' themselves as the opposing faction and go about murdering their own faction. - Making it look like the other faction is "at it again". - You'd become that other faction too in the "eyes" of NPCs; no waltzing into SW! :P
((I would come right out and say Battlegrounds and Arenas are completely independent from the Lore and not considered canonical beyond the names/places existing.))
Like look at EVE Online. Lore-wise all the empires are in a state of Truce. But you see corporations blowing each other up. WITHOUT AFFECTING THE LORE.
This would free the devs of the shackles of constantly trying to 'fit' PVP into the story. While still giving them a plausible reason for an expansion dedicated (supposedly??) to the two sides fighting. - Imagine in Legion, near the mid-point of the expansion, a quest by the Sabs to kill Anduin and make it look like the Horde was behind it. From there tensions rise...and BAM! Battle for Azeroth is announced as the next expansion.

MoP was not only a heavily underrated expansion, but the perfect one to end the faction conflict on in a canon sense.
Unfortunately they couldnโt bring themselves to do it, with the unintended consequence that both the faction conflict and our Generic Truce #6261 in the face of whatever new big bad pops up looks nauseatingly hackneyed.

Exactly why I've quit. After the RPG elements was removed, classes were pruned(multiple times), timegating became worse and story just became stale I just gave up. I'll wear my Horde logo to the grave remembering the good times. Shadowlands will officially be the first expansion I'm not going to buy after my 14 year journey with WoW.

I love it and the memery is strong, but...
Cataclysm wasn't Horde and Alliance banding together. It's actually an exception in the lore based off of our understanding and as clearly stated in Volume III of the World of Warcraft Chronicles. The Horde and Alliance were consistently at each other's throats in Cataclysm, with Garrosh's warmongering and willingness to capitalise on the devastating brought on by Deathwing.
It was the champions who were willing to put aside their differences and work alongside neutral organisations like the Cenarion Circle and the Earthen Ring who were the real heroes against the Twilight's Hammer, Elemental Lords, and Aspect of Death. Like with Ulduar, the Horde and Alliance don't get the credit.

Garrosh failed to use diplomacy at any and every turn. That, alongside a burning hatred for the Alliance, is just about the core of his being, the two things that stayed true no matter what narrative they were trying to push at the time - even when early Cata and late Cata kinda contradicted one another.
With that said, he is far more relatable than Sylvanas is, and his motives were actually pretty good. He was in a bad situation, and failed to make the most out of it, but he tried. Then he went a bit... crazier.

It doesn't help people to just go in-universe and talk from a single character's perspective. We have a much better perspective, often getting to know multiple characters' perspectives and having a ridiculous amount of meta-perspective.
Yeah, Garrosh thought other races were weak.
He also got overthrown by them.
So does just about every villain that manages to piss off both the Horde and Alliance at once.

Wanna talk logic and reason?
Garrosh was made warchief in the middle of a war he didnโt start. He got 0 help from thrall and his friends. He had to manage a cataclysm, a war, a divided faction and his own hate for demons, all alone. The horde family didnโt embrace him for even a moment.
He did everything he could to protect the horde, but the other races started abandoning him one after the other. This led him to become racist and lonely. He found a couple of other racist orcs like malkorok and hanged out with them. Later the sha corrupted him and amplified his negativity by 1000%.
After the events of pandaria he stood trial and the court decided he will get to live. He escaped prison before his trial to go back in time and save his kind from getting corrupted by the burning legion (honestly thatโs the noblest thing anyone ever did in lore). Once that was done he decided to invade Azeroth and fortify the planet against an imminent demon attack. Thrall murdered him and the demons came right after that, just like garrosh said.
Can his actions be logically explained? Yes. So what? Screw logic and reason because blizzard decided they need an orc villain to help introduce their orc expansion. They did exactly the same with sylvanas, an undead villain to introduce the undead expansion. You canโt ask for logic or reason in video games.

Sylvannas wins because and Thrall is a demigod and wins as well. A good couple of Mary Sue and Gary Stu.
Alliance does a lot of heavy lifting but Horde is the hero. Also they won the Warfronts but we'll never see them in game.
