Thrall isn't an option. Out of those 3 it would be either Baine or Saurfang. Personally I'd like to see Baine with a solid story arc, but given the upcoming story direction of returning to the old conflict, it's more likely we'd get Saurfang(admittedly he's a pretty solid choice).

Probably an unpopular opinion, but most of my hate for the Forsaken has to do with Sylvannas herself. She was an interesting character when the Lich King was still around, her story wasn't finished until she had her revenge on Arthas. But after Wrath, she stopped being an anti-hero and became a straight up villain. She's desperately trying to propagate her abomination of a race, trying to wipe out Gilneas who until that point really sort of just minded their own business, used biological warfare against them despite EXPLICIT orders from Garrosh to not use it and face the Gilneans in battle honorably. Then to appease the fanwank she gets written in as the Warchief, utterly upstaging Voljin before he even got to do anything, and axing pretty much the only lore relevant troll character. Then she tried to enslave the valkier on the broken isles (thankfully taking a fat L due to Genn's intervention) and WHY exactly does she do all these awful things? Because she's afraid. She's afraid of the rightful oblivion that awaits her when she dies, a great motivation for a villain, but she's not a hero and honestly hasn't been for a long time. This combined with the fact that it really feels like the other horde races by all accounts shouldn't really tolerate the Forsaken among themselves, all the races hordeside save for the blood elves are all traditionalists who place a high value on nature and things that are natural. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that they'd continue existing alongside them without any problems. The fact that when Sylvannas said "Who will follow me as warchief?" it wasn't met with an tense untrusting silence baffles me to be honest.

The Forsaken rebelled against their government and started to systematically exterminate anyone who doesn't want to join their death cult. They are evil, which is fine, but the world is not allowed to react logically to them or it would upset the faction balance, which is not fine.

Thrall just got his teeth kicked in by Daelin. Jaina was barely able to buy him a chance at peace, he should be tiptoeing around the Alliance hoping to god that he can convince them to let the orcs be. What's the first thing he does? He reaches out to rebels in Lordearon and starts murdering living humans. How does that make sense?

Lordaeron was the heart of the Alliance. Literally every single human in Stormwind was taken in by generous people from Lordaeron. Now their cities are filling up with refugees and the Forsaken are slaughtering everyone they can, and nobody does anything? Why?

Tirion was willing to march right into Icecrown Citadel to shove his fist up Arthas' bum, but Sylvanas is building concentration camps and he doesn't even comment? What's his problem?

Well im leveling my first horde character and from what ive seen so far the seem to be the most "evil" race in the game. Sure, no ones perfect and every race has their share of bad deeds but forsaken are the only ones whose quests seem to consistenly involve using plague, enslaving, experimenting on captives, conquering and other downright evil acts. What I dont understand is why people defend them so much. Sure, its ok to like them and play them and are very interesting both lorewise and as characters, but they are by no means they innocent and downtrodden this sub makes them out to be
