There a custom map in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II that was just a tower that went as high as it could. On the ground was one slightly less brown pixel/tile than the rest that would not kill you if you landed on it.
Many fun times were had falling for 2 minutes battling each other trying to fight for the safe landing.

I just got really sad trying to find an old Jedi Outcast map where it was just jumping/climbing puzzles.

I made maps for Jedi Knight I, II, and III using Lucas arts' awesome SDK programs. I'm pretty sure I made that falling map, I made half a dozen saber duel maps, plus some others including a popular toy story based map.

Well, I don't have the one from Throne of the Four Winds :(
Of all the ones I've obtained, I'd gladly swap that one for most any other one I'm missing. It's so fast to farm in all characters and makes decent gold for the time spent, but I don't justify it anymore since I got it.
I've run one of my toons through all the major dungeons up to the mount relevant bosses. That way I can either invite people to farm them on their own, or invite myself to group to do it myself and skip all the trash.
Sure, I'm missing out on whatever gold, but if I'm in a hurry that week and just want to get them done, I have that option available.

Also, I'm a fan of this addon for things like VP and SC mount farming. Saved Instances
Err, this requires two accounts, doesn't it? I've got a bunch of RAF'd active accounts and gold for tokens is easy, but that would require me to level a character on another account.
I managed to get both Firelands mounts in the same week. Before I started using this method too. I went in on my druid for Alysrazor and got it, tried Rag, and no joy. Then went in on my warlock and got Rag's.
Firelands isn't that bad to clear out though. It's not Tot4W, but it's not ICC & Ulda... ugh.
ICC being off my list was huge. So huge. So much hate for clearing that.
(2 Shadowmournes and an Invincible - was so used to the farm that I didn't realize it was in my bags until I vendored stuff; Rarity wasn't on on that character for some reason)
Dragon Soul is just annoying. Too much RP or waiting for boss mechanics. Firelands is fine.
Ulduar is fine too, but not making much gold makes it annoying.

Dragon Soul is the only raid where I could proudly say that I cleared it on heroic when it was the highest tier content available. And it was also the only time I missed out on a piece of gear because of a ninja. That 2H Sword was pretty much the last piece of BiS :(
i ran a heroic 25m ds in the last bits of cata and had been drooling over gurth the entire expac. so this time 3 gurths drop, i was on my dk so i thought hell yes this is my chance! then my guild mate who during the start of the raid was saying he never liked the heroic version decided last minute he wanted it and rolled on it. every other 2h melee rolled decent. i rolled a 1....
Damn, that sucks. I guess I got lucky. The first group I found took about 4 tries to get it, and the leader already had an appropriate lockout. Took about 20 minutes total. Good luck!
I had a group for Share the Love (5 people gored by last boss in Gun'Drak) and the mage literally just ran to the end and killed the boss, then dropped group. We had to all hop on alts and try again lol. Some people...

No, you can do it on an alt, create a custom group in the group finder, log out, join your own group on another char, relog again to accept the invite and relog yet again to get in. Wait for leader to switch and you're good.

You're doing too many steps.
Step 1 - Use character to farm mount and make custom group. Enable "Auto Accept"
Step 2 - Log out and log in to character with raid save. Join custom group.
Step 3 - Enter instance, accept lockout
The only thing that might happen is some rando will join your group. Right before you enter instance, kick him, reset instances, and walk in.

I find fewer realm hoppers in "Quests" and "Dungeons" since they are the least populated Group Finder subgroups. Just don't create your group in "Custom." :)
Also, AFAIK having rando-realm hoppers in the group doesn't create any problems.

It's great for Ulduar and ICC especially. Great time saver. Nice for Firelands as well if you don't need the mount from the bird anymore. Dragon Soul is weird about it though, but that doesn't take too long as it is.
You can clear ICC on 10 normal up to Arthas if needed, run out, switch to 25 man, run back in, switch to heroic (or the other way around, it's been a while).
I did not see your 2nd part, you must've ninja edited that.
As for it requiring 2 accounts. Nope.
You can invite yourself via LFG Custom. It's annoying to do it that way, but it works if no one else is around that has the setup.
Get on Toon A (the one with all the raid lock outs). Make a group in the LFG Custom and name it something you'll remember. Don't setup auto invites.
Get on Toon B. Search up the group and ask for an invite.
Get on Toon A. Go back into the LFG Custom and your group should still be listed and showing Toon B requesting an invite. Approve of the invite...
Go back to Toon B (last time) and you'll log in with the window already showing to Accept/Cancel the invite. Accept it, and by the time you get to a dungeon, you'll be the group leader.
When you zone into the dungeon of choice, it'll have that "Are you sure you want to do this, X/Y bosses have been killed" message. Click okay, and go along as normal.

Honestly, it's not any more of a time investment than if you had another person to help you trade the lockouts. Once you know the rules to certain lockouts, it basically amounts to:
Log into the character with the saved lockout.
Start group. Set to auto-invite. I use the questing group type because it sees less activity than the others.
Make sure you are not inside the raid instance.
Relog on character you want to give the lockout to.
Join the group.
Enter raid, accept lockout, wait for lead swap.
Kick the other character, delist group.
The only part that takes longer than having a friend help is waiting for lead to swap, but that rarely takes more than a minute.
As for the rules, here they are:
Ulduar: Nothing special.
ICC: Due to heroic IDs being shared, you must enter the raid on 25 normal, then switch to heroic after kicking the alt from the group.
Firelands: Same as Ulduar, just make sure to do it on Normal so you don't screw up your lockouts.
DS: Essentially the same as Ulduar, but you will not be eligible for Handmaiden mount since the entire instance has to be cleared on heroic to do heroic Spine and Madness.
There is actually a macro you can use to trick the system to switch to heroic. I don't remember the specifics, but it has been posted on here a few times. Comes up pretty easily in Google too.

I'm going to assume you mean switching madness to heroic after completing the raid on normal. I would say use a macro like that at your own peril. It would circumvent a game mechanic, which could result in a hefty ban for exploiting.

Because heroic raids share IDs across all characters attached to the raid. Say you go into ICC and do everything on heroic and never switch to normal. As soon as one of the characters with the ID kills LK on heroic, all the characters with that ID have killed LK on heroic. Same for any other raids with a heroic difficulty until WoD. You can, however, kill bosses on heroic if you choose. The important thing is to make sure that the instance is changed to normal when you share the lockout and converted to heroic inside the instance after the character holding the lockout has been removed from the group.
Also i think you're mistaken on DS. Heroic madness requires heroic spine
Heroic spine requires all other bosses be beat on heroic as well. If any of the bosses are killed in normal difficulty, you will get a message when you try to start spine that heroic difficulty is unavailable. Since heroic shares ID across characters, only one can kill heroic madness.

Yes. That's why it is important to do any lockout sharing with the raid set to normal. And why you should never convert the raid to heroic until the group is disbanded.

you don't need a second account. simply create a group in group finder with auto invite on, log out and log on your alt with the lockout save, joint he group and then switch back over to the character you are farming with.
Basically it works like this, take Ulda for example.
You clear everything except the final boss on Toon A. Then you have Toon A invite Toon B, C, D, E, F etc.... Toon A never goes into the raid again. Individually, each other toon goes in, takes the portal to Yoggs room, kills Yogg, and leaves.
The following week, Toon A still has the lockout available. Go into Social > Raid Tab > Raid Info > Extend all that matter to you.
If you forget to extend every week, no big deal, they stay in the list for a few weeks, maybe months... I forget how long, but I still have them there.
Why would ICC25 work? It's a raid ID. IDs should reflect anyone else's kills, regardless of if you were offline when it happened. They may not appear so on the Raid Lockout, but when you enter that ID it'll update.
Maybe ICC 25 Heroic is funky about it though, IDK. Finished 2 Shadowmournes and got Invincible. I'm all set not caring about that place anymore.
I think the reason ICC works the way it does is because when it was current, heroic and normal did not share the same lockout. All I know is that if you have a 10/12 lockout for LK, and you step inside the instance, then right click your portrait and set difficulty to heroic you'll be able to do it on heroic. And the lockout will not get ruined.

The portal to the Caverns of Time is still in Dalaran 7.0, but it's been moved inside Aegwynn's Tower with other portals relevant to artifact quest chains.
It currently still goes to the Dalaran in Northrend. I haven't seen any word of adding a new mage portal spell for Dalaran in The Broken Isles. There is, however, a portal to that one in The Cleft of Shadows in Orgrimmar; there's probably an equivalent in Stormwind.

I already do, my main is a rogue.
(mage teleports are a little bit useful because they have no CD, on the other hand, having a constant movement speed of 227% as a rogue is amazing. Rogues are the by far best class for farming old dungeons/raids)

Path of Frost single-handedly gave me my favorite moment in WoW.
I was still fairly new to the game and was running around in Mal'Ganis. a Frost DK and another class attacked me out of nowhere. I'm not much for PvP so I disengaged and ran. Ended up jumping off of a cliff. They both followed except the DK had forgot to turn off PoF and I saw both of them slam into the water and die.

Back in the good ol days before diminishing returns in stv I fought a paladin in the water on my druid. Forced him to bubble, water formed and swam all the way down, the idiot followed and then frantically tries to go up for air. So I spam rooted him, it was amazing. He yelled at me on the forums, dethecus was an asshole pvp server and we all loved it.
I managed to kill my entire raid group when we were in TOC by yelling at the DK to path of frost as we were falling. He did it on instinct and everyone died. It was awesome.
That's why my most played alts can disengage, bubble, or ankh.

Are the texture/graphics enhancing add ons for WoW? Iv got my settings maxed and have a really nice computer and monitor yet this guys game look much cleaner and better than mine.
Probably looks a bit fancier due to Uldum being one of the only zones to have quasi-realistic volumetric clouds because of the whole air theme going on there.

Join game. Get to 90. Buy WoD. Get to 100. Do garrison shit for about a week and try to get up enough to do heroics, then LFR. ASAP build your harbor. Do the questline associated with it and do your dailies to get up to 690ilevel. Get into a raiding guild or pug HFC, wait for Legion. (And hit challenge modes once you get BiS gear if you feel like it. Unique weapon transmog skins that'll be gone next expansion.)
Or....hit 100 and grind BGs to honor gear, then arena for conquest.

Last 3 groups in GF, always have 1 person that clicks the orb long before last person gets there. There's always a guy who runs out ahead to pop it.

I find fewer realm hoppers in "Quests" and "Dungeons" since they are the least populated Group Finder subgroups. Just don't create your group in "Custom." :)
Also, AFAIK having rando-realm hoppers in the group doesn't create any problems.

It's great for Ulduar and ICC especially. Great time saver. Nice for Firelands as well if you don't need the mount from the bird anymore. Dragon Soul is weird about it though, but that doesn't take too long as it is.
You can clear ICC on 10 normal up to Arthas if needed, run out, switch to 25 man, run back in, switch to heroic (or the other way around, it's been a while).

As for it requiring 2 accounts. Nope.
You can invite yourself via LFG Custom. It's annoying to do it that way, but it works if no one else is around that has the setup.
Get on Toon A (the one with all the raid lock outs). Make a group in the LFG Custom and name it something you'll remember. Don't setup auto invites.
Get on Toon B. Search up the group and ask for an invite.
Get on Toon A. Go back into the LFG Custom and your group should still be listed and showing Toon B requesting an invite. Approve of the invite...
Go back to Toon B (last time) and you'll log in with the window already showing to Accept/Cancel the invite. Accept it, and by the time you get to a dungeon, you'll be the group leader.
When you zone into the dungeon of choice, it'll have that "Are you sure you want to do this, X/Y bosses have been killed" message. Click okay, and go along as normal.

Honestly, it's not any more of a time investment than if you had another person to help you trade the lockouts. Once you know the rules to certain lockouts, it basically amounts to:
Log into the character with the saved lockout.
Start group. Set to auto-invite. I use the questing group type because it sees less activity than the others.
Make sure you are not inside the raid instance.
Relog on character you want to give the lockout to.
Join the group.
Enter raid, accept lockout, wait for lead swap.
Kick the other character, delist group.
The only part that takes longer than having a friend help is waiting for lead to swap, but that rarely takes more than a minute.
As for the rules, here they are:
Ulduar: Nothing special.
ICC: Due to heroic IDs being shared, you must enter the raid on 25 normal, then switch to heroic after kicking the alt from the group.
Firelands: Same as Ulduar, just make sure to do it on Normal so you don't screw up your lockouts.
DS: Essentially the same as Ulduar, but you will not be eligible for Handmaiden mount since the entire instance has to be cleared on heroic to do heroic Spine and Madness.

Because heroic raids share IDs across all characters attached to the raid. Say you go into ICC and do everything on heroic and never switch to normal. As soon as one of the characters with the ID kills LK on heroic, all the characters with that ID have killed LK on heroic. Same for any other raids with a heroic difficulty until WoD. You can, however, kill bosses on heroic if you choose. The important thing is to make sure that the instance is changed to normal when you share the lockout and converted to heroic inside the instance after the character holding the lockout has been removed from the group.
Heroic spine requires all other bosses be beat on heroic as well. If any of the bosses are killed in normal difficulty, you will get a message when you try to start spine that heroic difficulty is unavailable. Since heroic shares ID across characters, only one can kill heroic madness.

You can extend the lock out.
Basically it works like this, take Ulda for example.
You clear everything except the final boss on Toon A. Then you have Toon A invite Toon B, C, D, E, F etc.... Toon A never goes into the raid again. Individually, each other toon goes in, takes the portal to Yoggs room, kills Yogg, and leaves.
The following week, Toon A still has the lockout available. Go into Social > Raid Tab > Raid Info > Extend all that matter to you.
If you forget to extend every week, no big deal, they stay in the list for a few weeks, maybe months... I forget how long, but I still have them there.

Why would ICC25 work? It's a raid ID. IDs should reflect anyone else's kills, regardless of if you were offline when it happened. They may not appear so on the Raid Lockout, but when you enter that ID it'll update.
Maybe ICC 25 Heroic is funky about it though, IDK. Finished 2 Shadowmournes and got Invincible. I'm all set not caring about that place anymore.

I think the reason ICC works the way it does is because when it was current, heroic and normal did not share the same lockout. All I know is that if you have a 10/12 lockout for LK, and you step inside the instance, then right click your portrait and set difficulty to heroic you'll be able to do it on heroic. And the lockout will not get ruined.

It currently still goes to the Dalaran in Northrend. I haven't seen any word of adding a new mage portal spell for Dalaran in The Broken Isles. There is, however, a portal to that one in The Cleft of Shadows in Orgrimmar; there's probably an equivalent in Stormwind.

I already do, my main is a rogue.
(mage teleports are a little bit useful because they have no CD, on the other hand, having a constant movement speed of 227% as a rogue is amazing. Rogues are the by far best class for farming old dungeons/raids)

Path of Frost single-handedly gave me my favorite moment in WoW.
I was still fairly new to the game and was running around in Mal'Ganis. a Frost DK and another class attacked me out of nowhere. I'm not much for PvP so I disengaged and ran. Ended up jumping off of a cliff. They both followed except the DK had forgot to turn off PoF and I saw both of them slam into the water and die.

Back in the good ol days before diminishing returns in stv I fought a paladin in the water on my druid. Forced him to bubble, water formed and swam all the way down, the idiot followed and then frantically tries to go up for air. So I spam rooted him, it was amazing. He yelled at me on the forums, dethecus was an asshole pvp server and we all loved it.

I managed to kill my entire raid group when we were in TOC by yelling at the DK to path of frost as we were falling. He did it on instinct and everyone died. It was awesome.

Join game. Get to 90. Buy WoD. Get to 100. Do garrison shit for about a week and try to get up enough to do heroics, then LFR. ASAP build your harbor. Do the questline associated with it and do your dailies to get up to 690ilevel. Get into a raiding guild or pug HFC, wait for Legion. (And hit challenge modes once you get BiS gear if you feel like it. Unique weapon transmog skins that'll be gone next expansion.)
Or....hit 100 and grind BGs to honor gear, then arena for conquest.
