I know Iโm super late to the party on this one but one of my professors is Egyptian and she told me that when the first McDonaldโs in Egypt opened up in the 90s, everyone dressed up in their fanciest clothes and made like a national holiday out of it.
In the UK you're looking at ยฃ15 for burger, fries and drink, it's nice but honestly if I'm paying that much for a burger it needs to be pretty special.
That seems much more reasonable, it's annoying going to America it seems so many fast-food joints are way cheaper over there, they just swap dollars for pounds a lot of the time

Nah dog. Five Guys burgers are not good in terms of a quality per dollar value. Cookout blows it the fuck out of the water. Plus corndogs. The fries I concede are better at Five Guys.
