The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, etc.
I'm no expert but I think the biggest difference is pre-roll ads (video at the beginning) vs banner ads (pop up ad on the video). Social Blade are estimating solely on views so provide a broad range.
According to this quora question a banner ad makes about $0.80 per 1000 views and other articles suggest $2 on average so at that rate the uploader could have made about $240-$600 so far (it's at 300K views as I write this comment). He/she would have needed to use a video ad to be at the upper end of the range. It will probably also be influenced by where the traffic is coming from, e.g., 300k views from the US is probably worth more than 300k views from Haiti.
It's hardly enough to retire on but $240-$600 is not bad return for uploading somebody else's video and adding somebody else's comment from that video as an annotation. It could double or quadruple in the next few hours too of course.

crescendo and decrescendo reference the volume of what is being played. The toad's scream is a slide down through enough pitches to make recognizable songs.

Stepper motors (which are used in 2d/3d printers, scanners, floppy drives, CNC routers/mills/lathes or anywhere where you need precise control over the number of rotations) have a very tonal quality, which is directly correlated with the speed of rotation.
By taking direct control of the the stepper motors in the floppy drive's read head with a microcontroller or servo controller, you can make them play whatever note you want. Or use 8 of them for 8 note polyphony.
I feel like it would be as easy as setting up 4 different soundtracks so that you got a much more diverse set of tones to match the chords of a song, then the hard part would be synchronizing those 4. I have never done this but now I feel sort of compelled to learn and do it to put my money were my mouth is.

I, for example, hate the lame jokes that are the top comments on almost every interesting link on reddit.

I was wondering the same thing. It really looks like the person is squeezing the toad so hard all of the air in its lungs is being forced out which would be really messed up.
Frogs don't have ribcages, so their bodies kinda just slosh around to begin with. When you pick them up, it makes them look quite strange and/or uncomfortable, but in actuality they're just drama queens.

Nah, they are holding the frog near his legs, and it may look like a tight hold but it's just enough to keep him from jumping away. Played with a lot of frogs as a kid, and they will generally squeeze their way out of your hand to the point where you are gripping right above their legs, cause that's how far they can push themselves away from you with their arms before they can't reach your hand anymore. They get stuck just chilling til you decide to set them down. They may not like it, but it doesn't hurt them (as long as you don't squeeze super tight, but looks like they aren't doing that in the video).
Noises are normal, too. I saved a stupid toad last summer from being run over, cause he thought it would be a great idea to just chill in the middle of the road, and he was yowling at me. I barely held him, he was practically sitting in my hand, but he decided to yowl. Even when I set him into the bushes he was still yowling. Dang toads man....

Common Frogs do not have many defence mechanisms, other than to try and hop away quickly. If they are picked up or cornered by a predator they will sometimes let out a high pitched ‘scream’ to try and scare they predator off. This does not necessarily mean the frog has been harmed.

The frog is fine. He's not being squeezed hard, just enough to be held onto. And noises from them are totally normal. He probably doesn't like being held, because he can't force his way out of the hand any further than he already did, but he's not in pain or being hurt from what I can see in the video.

You're actually correct - the other if you press too fast, it momentarily buffers, but this one, you can spam as fast as you like the same key and it works just fine.

It must be stressed, but I don't think it's really being hurt. It doesn't start to yell until it's touched near the eye. If that noise, was from being hurt, then it would had started that noise when it was grabbed.

You just need to click on the video element. Close an annotation, pause it, change the volume, etc. You just need to let the browser know that the video player is the 'active' element.
I thought that was the case but initially I left clicked on the volume and started pressing keys and nothing happened. I might have been in another app and when I did that first click I was simply switching to my browser window.
Depending on where this is, this could be what is called a suicidal frog, for the lack of a better name (I don't remember the actual name).
When under threat these frogs will emit a sound that will attract other predators like big birds or crocodiles. They do this to make sure the one menacing them gets eaten together with them.
They are basically the definition of "You go down with me".

No that's the proper way to hold a toad. They're not holding the body, they're holding it on the pelvis below the hips. The only other way is to hold it by the legs, but you risk the toad jumping and injuring itself that way.
Does anyone hear the weird ascending gliss notes in the toad's shriek that are there in addition to the main tone? Super bizarre. I wonder what quality of the toad's vocal cords or resonant passages causes that?
Nope! That noise is the frog's "release vocalization".
When frogs mate the male frog grabs a female frog and holds on until he's done. But frogs aren't very good at telling boys from girls, so often a male frog will accidentally grab another male. In this case, the male that's been grabbed makes this noise to basically say "nope I'm a dude let go!"
So if you grab a male frog during mating season and hold him he'll make this noise. No frogs were harmed during the making of this video.
I was in two minds about this video... as I'm not really a frogologist or anything, I had no idea if he was being basically tortured or not for the sake of internet "lulz".
I watched the video in RES, so there was no description and I just got one long toad scream.
If you actually go to Youtube it tells you to press certain numbers on your keyboard to play the Imperial March.
It's best if you play it as instructed, then just let him wheeze out the last note till the video ends. Also, this was instantly easy for me on the num pad, but I had the hardest time doing it on the standard keys.
I was on the original video where the guy who commented how to do it had no replies. I told him it was the most underrated comment on there, and suddenly it blew up.
I'm disappointed in myself, that I had to see this in comments before trying it myself. Sandstorm is usually the first song I play on obscure instruments.

Stepper motors (which are used in 2d/3d printers, scanners, floppy drives, CNC routers/mills/lathes or anywhere where you need precise control over the number of rotations) have a very tonal quality, which is directly correlated with the speed of rotation.
By taking direct control of the the stepper motors in the floppy drive's read head with a microcontroller or servo controller, you can make them play whatever note you want. Or use 8 of them for 8 note polyphony.

I feel like it would be as easy as setting up 4 different soundtracks so that you got a much more diverse set of tones to match the chords of a song, then the hard part would be synchronizing those 4. Actually, I think everything is fine. Many amphibians, including most frogs & toads, have a specific "release call" vocalization they'll give off whenever grabbed. Example: Wood Frog. Its actually really hilarious to sit and watch/listen to frogs breed. The males will latch onto any other frog they find, regardless of sex, so these calls roughly translate into "I'm a dude, get off me!". Source: Husband of a herpetologist.

Frogs don't have ribcages, so their bodies kinda just slosh around to begin with. When you pick them up, it makes them look quite strange and/or uncomfortable, but in actuality they're just drama queens.

Avoid handling wild animals as a rule, but I don't think they were hurting the frog, but likely were scaring/stressing it because often when large things pick you up there is a good chance they plan to EAT you.

Nah, they are holding the frog near his legs, and it may look like a tight hold but it's just enough to keep him from jumping away. Played with a lot of frogs as a kid, and they will generally squeeze their way out of your hand to the point where you are gripping right above their legs, cause that's how far they can push themselves away from you with their arms before they can't reach your hand anymore. They get stuck just chilling til you decide to set them down. They may not like it, but it doesn't hurt them (as long as you don't squeeze super tight, but looks like they aren't doing that in the video).
Noises are normal, too. I saved a stupid toad last summer from being run over, cause he thought it would be a great idea to just chill in the middle of the road, and he was yowling at me. I barely held him, he was practically sitting in my hand, but he decided to yowl. Even when I set him into the bushes he was still yowling. Dang toads man....

The frog is fine. He's not being squeezed hard, just enough to be held onto. And noises from them are totally normal. He probably doesn't like being held, because he can't force his way out of the hand any further than he already did, but he's not in pain or being hurt from what I can see in the video.

It must be stressed, but I don't think it's really being hurt. It doesn't start to yell until it's touched near the eye. If that noise, was from being hurt, then it would had started that noise when it was grabbed.

Nah, he's forming an O with his fingers and keeping it clasped around the frog's waist, which is the smallest part of their torso you can hold onto. He's not squeezing the frog or hurting it. Not saying the frog likes it, but it's not hurting him.

You just need to click on the video element. Close an annotation, pause it, change the volume, etc. You just need to let the browser know that the video player is the 'active' element.

Depending on where this is, this could be what is called a suicidal frog, for the lack of a better name (I don't remember the actual name).
When under threat these frogs will emit a sound that will attract other predators like big birds or crocodiles. They do this to make sure the one menacing them gets eaten together with them.
They are basically the definition of "You go down with me".

No that's the proper way to hold a toad. They're not holding the body, they're holding it on the pelvis below the hips. The only other way is to hold it by the legs, but you risk the toad jumping and injuring itself that way.

Nope! That noise is the frog's "release vocalization".
When frogs mate the male frog grabs a female frog and holds on until he's done. But frogs aren't very good at telling boys from girls, so often a male frog will accidentally grab another male. In this case, the male that's been grabbed makes this noise to basically say "nope I'm a dude let go!"
So if you grab a male frog during mating season and hold him he'll make this noise. No frogs were harmed during the making of this video.

It's best if you play it as instructed, then just let him wheeze out the last note till the video ends. Also, this was instantly easy for me on the num pad, but I had the hardest time doing it on the standard keys.
