So, there's been a bit of work on this thread since I last saw it. I started doing a full song version of this back around the New Year & I saw some of this thread & your video, which is great. I finished it a few weeks ago & did it at Karaoke for the 1st time on Mario day, Mar 10, at a Video Game bar. My 1st attempt wasn't perfect, in part because the tempo was faster than the version I built it off of & practiced to. But I made a few edits, not perfect syllable match, but it fits better when actually singing. Here is my version. I have *s next to the lines I'm still trying to improve. I worked in references to a lot of things including Brooklyn being home, & mushroom Kingdom being home. I don't care which Canon change ideas anyone subscribes to, I was trying to make it fit musically & invoke memories to gamers old & new.

I appreciate critique, even if I don't decide to take it:

Closest game in the series that can make this comparison is Mario and Luigi Partner's in Time since the story starts off really strong and out of character for a Mario plot then halfway thru the game the game's story becomes every garbage Mario plot that involves saving the princess. It doesn't really help that just underneath the castle Fawful is there planning for the sequel game Inside Story

Hell the Alien Yoshi eating Mario and Luigi arc of the game was basically the entire basis for Inside Story. Also Super Paper Mario remains the darkest the series has ever reached.
