Well, Chris Pratt was basically Indiana Jones in that movie. He would be great for an Indiana Jones reboot. Or Harrison Ford passes on the torch to him in a new movie.

Also, IMDB says he apparently voiced Casey in TMNT at some point? It's like everyone in Hollywood just looked at him and realized how much he looks like he could've walked right out of an actual comic book and just went with it.
I mean, she's not an Oscar-worthy actress (yet), but she also just started. Not everybody can be an amazing actor right off the bat. Now, if Star Wars was her 15th movie, and she still wasn't winning or being nominated for awards, it'd be a different story. To everybody who has jumped on the hate train, whether you actually don't like her or you just like being circlejerked, let her get a few movies in with a few different directors before you make a final judgement. 1 big movie and a handful of indie films is not really enough to judge acting talent.

Same deal with Mark Hamill in Episode 4, he wasn't that good an actor at that point but he vastly improved by Episode 5 and eventually went on to do the Joker, some of the best voice acting ever performed.

Meh, I understand your sentiment, but I disagree. There are plenty of actors and directors who have put up incredibly moving and deep performances in their first few films. Yeah, she might learn to be a great actress, but at the moment she is what she is. Not terrible, but not terribly good.
I wasn't repeating you. And she has done more than one film actually. I think it is perfectly fine to judge people based on their performances even if it is early in their career. People have judged her, and that is fine. That judgement may change in the future, but for right now, it is what it is. If an actor gave an absolutely amazing, jaw-dropping performance in their first few films, you can judge that as well.

She's not a very good voice actor either.
It doesn't even sound like she tried in Lego Star Wars the Force Awakens. She sounds like a person who's just reading the lines straight off the papers, instead of putting some actual weight into them.
To be fair most of the performances in Lego games are just phoned in. I love them but don't criticize her because of the usually shitty voice acting in general in the series.

I think Mark Hamill, for a while there, was more known for his Joker role than his Star Wars role. It's only this latest re-emergence of Star Wars that's reminded people a bit that he was Luke.
Previous poster seemed to be suggesting that Daisy was unsuitable to play Lara Croft because her breasts are too small. I was pointing out that the actress who played the role previously was also less naturally endowed than the character, and Daisy could be augmented through makeup and costume in a similar manner.
It's meant to be sarcasm. Like "What? This is so new, I've never seen an event to this caliber before!" and then subtly pointing out that Harrison Ford did this EXACT thing.
I would have preferred that they would have gone with Camilla Luddington. She does the voice for Lara in the Tomb Raider video game reboot, Lara's looks in the game are based off her, and she did motion capture for it. The new Tomb Raider movie is inspired by the video game reboot so it's surprising that they didn't just go with Luddington since she did really well as Lara. I got nothing against Vikander, but I don't see her doing anything better than what Luddingtong did with Lara.

Previous poster seemed to be suggesting that Daisy was unsuitable to play Lara Croft because her breasts are too small. I was pointing out that the actress who played the role previously was also less naturally endowed than the character, and Daisy could be augmented through makeup and costume in a similar manner.

I would have preferred that they would have gone with Camilla Luddington. She does the voice for Lara in the Tomb Raider video game reboot, Lara's looks in the game are based off her, and she did motion capture for it. The new Tomb Raider movie is inspired by the video game reboot so it's surprising that they didn't just go with Luddington since she did really well as Lara. I got nothing against Vikander, but I don't see her doing anything better than what Luddingtong did with Lara.
