Damn it's so strange how reddit is pro IRA.
Northern Ireland has the democratic option to leave or remain for nearly 100 years and despite the referendums to do so failing the gain support for a united Ireland, the IRA have continued to bomb innocent civillians regardless, thankfully in recent times less-so.

I got it into my head that I wanted to color my DS Lite back in the day, so I did a test on an older, broken DS Lite that was held together with superglue and duct tape, destined for the trash.... Needless to say, I learned enough about my artistic retardation to not go near my actual console.

It's just so sad. It's like when people get tattoos of games and then the devs retweet them... People get this shitty cheap tattoos that look like absolute garbage, embarrassingly poor artwork that stains them for life, and developers essentially promote the idea.
There's a Smash painted console that honestly looks like garbage with thick, uneven paint that is quite possibly going to gunk up the rather pricy Joy cons, so of course it's on the front page with five thousand upvotes, holy crap.

What I don't get is since most of the design is painted on the back anyway why not just paint it on like a switch protective case or something? then you get both a fun painted thing AND a clean switch....like I kinda like the idea of designs on the console so I bought stickers and a cheap case and plan on just putting it on the case....

Doing this to a case is just a much smarter option. If it's on a case you can actually make improvements too with repainting, replacing the case etc. Like trying to strip paint or remove stickers easily of a switch is just not possible

I would find the paint texture to be off putting, certain paints leave texture, or sometimes a total lack of texture that makes your hands slip off on the overly smooth/dried out surface.
I think human skin oil and sweat too would make this whole playing experience awkward.
