Oh my god that fucking sucks! I'm not as rich as you so I have an 870 and the trigger/receiver assembly was hard as fuck. I actually never got it together by myself, a cop showed me how to do it in the end.

So ONE time in my life i actually save up money to buy something new and cool. I saved up 700 Euros for a new PC, with the intention of using my old RAM and Hard Drives to save some money. I got a i3 4170, some 50Euro Gigabyte Motherboard, and an RX480 and the rest isnt too important. Build process went fine, took me like 30 minutes, installed Windows, started a game and realized everything stuttered like crazy. Turns out the CPU was always 100% used when i started a game. No, i had no energy saving options enabled, no, the cores werent parked, yes, the drivers were updated, no it wasnt a virus on a 4 hour old windows installation, yes, everyone in every forum i asked on was a fucking retard. OK, so i return the CPU and Motherboard for an i5 4570 and a similar Motherboard, and i get the SAME FUCKING PROBLEM. At this point i havent slept in 3 days, and completely fucking missed watching new year fireworks because i was SO obsessed with fixing this problem. Well, i never figured it out, and part of why i quit was how forums infuriated me so fucking much. I just put the Graphics Card in my 10 year old AMD Phenom PC and this baby can run BF1 and TW3 on Ultra with 50+ FPS so suck it Intel

I used to do things in VMware workstation since it could record video, then I'd run that output through another encoder.

These days, I'd use QuickTime on Mac, and OBS on Windows.

I mean, if you're on a Mac, QuickTime can record the screen or even a selection of it straight to a MOV file. I use it all the time to make training videos for work.

1. Open QuickTime player. Dismiss the file open prompt.
2. Go to "File" > "New Screen Recording".
3. Click the Record button, and then either click the screen once anywhere to begin a full screen recording, or drag a box around a selection that you want to record.
4. Click the Stop button in the menu bar when you are done.

Once you're done, hit Command-T to go into trimming mode, to cut the ends of the clip. I like to do this to hide the move to the stop button at the end, or any initial mouse movements before the task being highlighted. Your choice.

From the Edit menu, you can also use the "Add Clip to End…" function to stitch multiple saved clips together like a rudimentary movie editor.

When you're done, you can either just save the whole MOV file in its full, uncompressed glory, or Export to a compressed format (based on picture size: 1080, 720, 480).
