I've never understood that and it has never been explained. Using the cooked meat for something would be dangerous, that I get. But why is the raw meat contaminated? It's the source of the danger already is it not?

Sally was a waitress at Applebee's in high school, so after graduating, she opened up an Italian restaurant, even though Sally only eats chicken tenders and fries despite being 45. Her parents and/or husband put their entire life savings and each sold both of their kidneys to make Sally's dream come true, because at this point they have been conditioned to never stand up for themselves for any reason.

I keep watching kitchen nightmares, hotel hell, bar rescue, etc. and it's always, "well I was a waitress here part-time, and when the possibility of buying it came up I just had to purchase it!"

HOW?!? How did you have or get money for this? What bank gave a 22 year old woman a loan? What family member was willing to do this? All I can think is that the girl must have the elasticity of hotkinkyjo and the gag reflex of Sasha Grey to have convinced someone to give her half a million to play restaurant.

The BBC series is so much better. Gordon does the narration and explains his plans much better instead of that stupid Fox guy just saying "GORDON'S UPSET!"

The British version of a lot of shows is easier to watch. Like the Great British Bake Off. It's a show where bakers are challenged and eventually someone wins. It just sort of rolls nicely along, tension is organic to the moment instead of the gigantic musical cues for every tiny thing and over edited shots that don't quite jive.
