There's a couple of good third-party apps that work better than Reddit's app. For example, the one I'm using has easy Reddit formatting buttons while the keyboard is up. Including a button to quickly show others the true path, as it pastes the following info:
I've only just discovered it's possible to communicate in things besides Simpsons quotes. This entire subreddit feels like /r/tenagra nearly all of the time.
But isn't the point of this shitpost format that Homer is denying something true? Are you saying the page actually DOES look better in the app, the same way that it smells funny in Fort Adventure? I am not a crackpot

I've downloaded and deleted the app at least 4x over past years hoping for better updates or changes. Always been so disappointed and surprised at how shit it is.

This really is one of my favorite Simpsons lines ever. In earlier seasons he might have said "I don't care" or "yeah but what're you gonna do?" Now he just says "no it doesn't" to utterly reject their reality.

They push for this less because they actually think it's a better experience and more because you can't disable their tracking code in their app.

The best you can do is install ublock origin. Possibly use a VPN (but a lot of VPN services are sketch).
Realistically though any time you have to log into a site to use it's service you can also assume you're being tracked in some capacity. It's why most places log in wall their content (EX: Twitter making obnoxious pop ups that you need an account to view more tweets). You can't track certain populations without their explicit permission thanks to GDPR and CCPA. However user accounts are a way around that.
Im having so many issues with the reddit app and its incredibly infuriating that it will constantly try and force me to use the app whenever im using the web browser (unless ofc you are using the "desktop site" function)

I absolutely hate it when I open a website in a browser and they force me to open or download the app. I sometimes open gmail on safari and the link to continue on the browser is small and hard to click on
