Honestly, this post could have played really well both here or on regular /r/reactiongifs - it rides the line perfectly.
So while it is fucking hilarious, I honestly think it just made r/all and a bunch of people upvoted it not realizing what sub it was. Most of my favorite stuff from this sub is distinctly "shittier". This one is my favorite from the top-all time front page of the sub, but even that one is pretty straight forward.
I watched it at the cinema when it first came out. Given that the film came out 15 years ago, it's a less than 30 second clip of a minor character from the film, and I've done quite a bit over the last few years - surely I can be forgiven for asking the question?

It is an action movie, but it is not just an action movie.
the first one with a great plot as well.
The second and third is the story they wanted to tell, the first one was just the Morpheus/Neo origin story.
It's not about 'getting it', the plot in the second and third movies is about as straight-forward as it gets, it simply wasn't a good plot.
Something something opinion. The Zion story is an integral part of the story, the fact that you don't like it doesn't mean anything.
They could also have easily squeezed both movies into one longer movie, cutting away all the nonsense.
I don't know if you noticed, but it is actually one single movie. It was probably the studio who forced them to split it up.
Why keep talking about something you don't like? Moving on...

I'm explaining that the Zion part of the story is important, and leaving it out will by definition not make the movie better, unless you're only there for the action, and not the story.

I actually liked the cave rave scene- it highlights that the people from Zion are real human beings with real feelings, urges and desires. Granted, it was a bit overdone and drawn out, but all the same, not a worthless part of the movie by any means. And overall I thought that the third film tied up a lot of the philosophical an metaphorical loose ends from the rest of the trilogy, although the crucifixion reference made me throw up in my mouth a little with how tacky it was. By the end of the film Neo practically wasn't even real anymore, so I barely cared.

I admit, the ending was the weakest part. But I forgive the film-makers for that. The story is so complicated that I don't know how you would end it, the first movie solves the problem by not having an ending at all, which works, but you're left wanting more. They chose ambition, setting the bar high for themselves, same with Cloud Atlas.
