People found out who he was and he was harrassed non stop.
Its all about who that 1 person who finds out is. This guy didn't do anything particularly bad, but there will be posts here sometimes of people that have acted in a way that would make random people on the internet very bad.
As well, there is NEVER a reason to post personal information. We don't need to know a single thing more about this guy. Even little things like "hey I know him he's from Zimbabwe" drastically reduce the pool of possible people,making it much easier for people to find him. So, no personal information.

Thanks man! It's something I had always tried for, but even in high school I never had one despite a much more rigorous work out schedule. I also wear sweatshirts and semi-baggy shirts a lot, so I was kind of excited to show off a bit, even though it felt vain as hell.
I even hate when people take those pics but i was feeling good, said fuck it, and posted. It's helped my confidence though and the number of matches on tinder :) so it's an added bonus.

Pull ups my man! Lots of em.
I've been eating better, which is definitely a big part but I bought a door frame pull up bar and I've been grinding away at that for the last couple months. I don't really keep track of how many I do, i just do as many as I can then change grips and keep going until I can't. Then I go right back to doing whatever (typically fucking around on my computer) AND just continue to do several sets throughout the day. Any time I feel like I can do more I just hop up there and do some reps.
Keep your core tight and focus on keeping your arms in a locked position (your elbows have a tendency to tilt inward). Also the best way to target abs while doing pull ups is to hold your legs straight out, almost like you're sitting, and hold that while you do your reps.
I had an ok foundation to start with and i havent really been doing anything else other than pull ups a few planks and some pushups. But if you wanted to get more serious about it, it's actually pretty easy to build your ab mucles but hard to get them to show. A big part is diet, but I'm pretty lazy about mine. Something else that I've done that helps shed calories is I combine work outs. I do low weight, high reps, with very few breaks (as few as you can stand) and just focus on keeping your heart rate up. For example I'll sometimes do leg raises from my back and/or bicycle kicks while I pump out some dumbbell presses. I do that until I'm too tired then move to something else.. a bike, treadmill, etc. (Right now my go to has been a heavy bag) Anything that keeps you moving but gives your abs or arms a break. And keep doing that over and over until you're too tired. I lift to failure a lot of times too and if I can't do anymore pull ups or presses I'll just hold myself or the weight in a locked position until I can't hold it any longer.
Thanks for the response! I'll have to buy one of those bars I think. Any recommendations on brands? Luckily I don't have to worry about cutting calories, but I'll probably need to start eating more if I want any muscle building, which is challenging for me. But I'll get it done.

I'll try and find the one I bought on amazon and post a link. There are probably better ones out there though, but in reality it's just a bar so your biggest concern is going to be whether it's sturdy or not. So just look at reviews and see what people have to say. I think mine only cost like $25-30.
And I'm in the same boat. I'm 6'2" and around 170. Weight gain has been a constant struggle. So a 6 pack should be easier for you. You can work on that and build on it. Your core is probably one of the more important muscle groups and generally uour foundation so it's a great place to start.
Eating right is fuckin huge deal and I hate it so much. You really need to cut out fatty foods and eat healty along with ab building excersises for them to really pop.
But is it the picture you choose best represents you?

One of the biggest improvements I've made for my workout routine is getting one of those door frame pull up bars. It's cheap and it's right there. It makes it easy to to just stop and do some reps several times during the day. Beyond a few planks and push ups, it's pretty much the only reason I've gotten a 6 pack. Which is something I was never able to obtain in high school... so much time wasted on crunches.
I have one but I moved and now it doesn't fit in any of my door frames, the ceiling is too low :(

Fuck off. Anyone can do bodyweight fitness if they have a single solitary spark of ambition to do so, and while I understand that a lot of people have really packed schedules everyone can find the time to do 30 minutes a day. You just need to do the best you can with what you have, and until you're doing that then you don't deserve to sit and complain about your tragic physique. As for eating healthy, if you're overweight just eat less of what you're eating now, even if what you're eating is total processed shit your body obeys the laws of thermodynamics. Also eating healthy has been proven to be cheaper than eating fast food and shit. Make the choice to get in shape or don't but don't sit there blaming your circumstances for your failures, and certainly don't try to take something away from people who do care enough to try.

TIL it costs more money to spend less money on food. (And don't forget people are too busy to cut the time they eat in half!) And that running and push up, sit up, air squats, etc. are incredibly expensive.
This is what laziness sounds like you don't need a gym membership, you don't even need equipment to get in shape you can do alot with just body weight. All you need is discipline the way I see it the more money you spend on fitness aids the less discipline you have.
Rich people still have to put in the work. No one can make you do the exercises or do them for you. Sure, the stuff you said makes it easier to achieve but hard work is hard work.
You don't need to go to the gym to get a good body. You can easily do body weight exercises. Healthy food is not expensive at all, wtf are you talking about? All you need is an hour a day 3 times a week and you can get decently jacked in a few years. It sounds like you're just making excuses for why you don't work out.

I ride my bike 4 days a week and on those same days right before/after a ride I do a bodyweight routine. Total time per workout is about 2 hours during the work week and 3-4 hours on the weekend when I extend my rides out to 30+ miles.
I also work an average of 50 a week plus I'm married with a 3.5 year old. It can be done, a lot of people just want to make excuses, I did as well for years.
Before I started this regime 2 years ago I weighed 270 lbs(I'm 6ft tall) and my body fat % was in the high 20's. I'm now 185 and my body fat is closer to the mid teens. I don't have a perfect body but I look good with my clothes off now so I'm happy.
I haven't even touched on diet but that was most important for me. CICO with Lean meat and veggies for most meals with a cheat day once every few weeks.

That is completely false. I got in shape by hardly spending any money at all. I used cheap free weights at home and ate properly, and especially heightened my metabolism through disiplined eating and within less than a year I lost 150 pounds. Six months later Iโd added 50lbs of muscle.
Never set foot in a gym, didnโt have a trainer, got advice and tips off the Internet. Iโm far from rich, work three jobs and care for somebody with physical disabilities. Iโm downright poor compared to most in my neck of the woods. I donโt even have a car. And no billionaire can buy what I have achieved.
The common denominator across everyone I've met in my life who have reached their fitness goals is discipline. What they did for a living was irrelevant. Some worked two jobs, some worked none, but all of them were driven to achieve their goals, and they did.
I understand your points that certain circumstances can make it hard to be healthy. But I was more focused on how you have to work for a good body. Even with a gym membership and trainer, you still need the commitment and effort. If money bought a good body then why does Trump look the way he does?
I spend $0 on workouts. I lose a rocket league game? That's 20 pushups. I go in the basement? 3 sets of pull ups off the I-beam. Wake up, do 100 crunches. 5 minutes a few times a day and you'll have a prison sculpted body in a month.

You don't need a fancy gym to get fit. All you really need is to not stuff your face with food all day and get 30 minutes of exercise about 3-5 times a week. No need to be rich. You can wallow in pity and excuses or you can go for a run and do some pull-ups.

Telomerase is real. It's a real enzyme that is known to extend the ends of chromosomes and is linked to longevity because it counteracts the shortening of chromosomes due to the normal DNA replication process. It is produced at high levels in children and cancer cells. This guy just mixes the real words and concepts with random cool words to make it sound profound, but it just sounds like gibberish. He cites studies but provides no direct links, which can be problematic because multiple studies on the same topic can come out in the same year. Without a direct link we also can't compare what he says to what the scientists actually conclude. Lifestyle studies are especially hard to draw conclusions from because of the confounding factors. A pretty powerful confounding factor in old man/young woman marriages is probably wealth. Obviously a wealthy family generally lives longer.
Personally I'm laughing at his gibberish telomerase + progesterone link. His reasoning is so wacky. Also, how is he going to have enough progesterone (a female sex hormone) so that it can actually affect him? Is he going to drink litres of his hypothetical girlfriend's blood? It probably wouldn't work, and I really doubt that any such link exists in the first place.

I can't believe I actually looked up his "sources" in order to try to understand this gibberish... For the most part it is random words, irrelevant facts, and misunderstood and misused concepts.
For his very first sentence, he says a young woman would live longer with him than someone their age and cites the 2009 Nobel prize for the discovery of telomerase. The Nobel prize document describes how small discoveries in microorganisms led up to the discovery. No mention of couples. While it is true that many cancer cells overexpress telomerase, there is a difference between cancerous overexpression and the normal levels of expression found in young people. His other claims about the detrimental effects of telomerase in the young (cancer, immune system...) are also hilariously wrong.
I actually can't find a study that says that older men produce healthier children. It says the opposite - older men's children have increased risk of autism, mental illness, cancer, diabetes, etc. I'm on mobile so linking is hard, but if you want the sources I'll go get them. Not sure where the brown skin part comes from.
Progesterone does regulate the levels of telomerase in a complicated, time-dependent way, but the studies are talking about cells within the same body, since the hormone is carried by the circulatory system.
Chromosomal attrition is real (refers to telomerase shortening over time since telomerase isn't extending it enough), but is irrelevant to what he's saying.
The Hayflick limit is the number of times a cell can divide before becoming old (senescence). The sentence he uses the phrase in seems to say that you decrease the limit with more telomerase, but in reality you actually increase it.

16 is "legal" (but with many conditions) also here in Italy. The thing is (I know because I work in a court in Italy) if a 40 years old guy has an affair with a 16yo girl, chances are that he still will be charged with something. He will still face legal troubles. THEN he may be cleared of charges if the girls testifies that all was with consent and there were not any kind of "moral submissions". But I wouldn't risk (and I also would not date a 16 years old girl)

In most countries when someone is of legal age of consent it isn't a crime for anyone to have consensual sex with them. Normally it's just looked down upon.
Edit: with exceptions where consent can't be given (prison officer and prisoner) or they breach the position of trust law.
There are places in the US where it's ONLY LEGAL with a 16 year old if the partner is between 0-4 years older. So 16 & 20 is ok, 16 & 25 is not okay. I'm not positive but I think the reasoning is just to protect the young weak and naive from sexual authorities, basically someone much older, intimidating, and easily controlling.

Yeah, many countries have woefully insubstantial consent laws. You either allow bad people to take advantage of the young, naive, and easily manipulated kids, or you deny kids the ability to learn about a fairly important part of life, it's just weird.
It all depends on state laws in the US, but in most places if the age of consent is 16 (or 18 or whatever) then it's 16 and that's that. Most states have some kind of law about how the age of consent is 18 but the one is 16 and the other is 20 it's still OK (the age difference might change by state, but they're called Romeo and Juliet Laws and allow the age of consent laws to bend based on the age difference). I think some states still have an age of consent around 14 but for most it's 18 and some it's 16.
oh ok, I don't really pay attention to it that much but I knew that the "plain" age of consent did vary by state, though I think 18 is the most common across the US (also I'd rather not have much research on it in my internet history)
18 and 16 are pretty prevalent each, not sure on exact split. Some are 17, not as common.

I don't think there's many places left in the world where there are plain age of consent laws. All the ones I'm aware of off hand have something like the Romeo and Juliet laws.
I dont know about the US but I know there are places around the world were the consensual age is 18, but can be younger with parental permission. Pretty sure thats the case in Japan.

The age of consent is 14 in my province, but only if the person they're sleeping with is a reasonably similar age. It's not legal for an adult to fuck a kid where I live, and I find it disturbing that it is anywhere.

Actually I just looked it up and you were right. 16 year olds in michigan can legally have sex with adults provided the adult is not an authority figure. The two year thing I was thinking of works in the opposite direction. Not sure how I feel about that.
I remember a few situations from when I was in high school that seem really wrong now. It wasn't everyone that was dating a freshman, but it felt like a lot of people did exploitive things to the freshmen just because they didn't know any better. From what I've been told it bothered them more as they got a bit older than at the time too.
Like, the 14 year olds were used to being the older kids at the middle school and were far from as mature as the other high school students at that point though they catch up and become moody high school students fast.
You only have to be 18 in less than half the states in the US for age of consent. A few states are 17. Most are 16.
However to my understanding sexual assault or rape on somebody younger than 18 is still statutory even if they are at the age of consent but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure. I don't have any strong opinion either way. He is correct. 16 is the age of consent in Canada for sexual consent apart from anal intercourse which is 18.
The close-in-age aspect comes in for 14 and 15 year olds. 14 was the previous age of consent up until I think the mid 2000's, so long as the adult was not in a position of authority. That is fucked.

It annoys me how it's used to mean any kind of dressing up, but not to the point of hating it with passion or anything. Like ask someone if they're doing anything for Halloween, and they say "Cosplaying as X". Whhaaattt ... no, you're DRESSING UP AS X. I think the difference (in my mind) is that cosplaying is when you go all-the-fuck-out and work on a costume for like months to get it to the point where people go "oh shit that's awesome". THAT'S cosplaying.
What I hate is how everything's an "app" now. MY COMPUTER BROWSER IS A PROGRAM, MY IMAGE EDITING SOFTWARE IS A PROGRAM. AN APP IS LIKE SOME SHITTY LITTLE THING THAT TELLS ME THE WEATHER.
Cosplaying means to act the character out along with a costume. Costume play. You can't just put on a ball gown mask and say "LOOK IM COSPLAYING TUXEDO MASK HURR"
Idk about this, "app" is short for "application" which is short for "application program", and so is "program", so it's basically just two different branches of the same abbreviation tree.

I have discovered that he has schizo-effective bi-polar disorder and often has psychotic breaks and has been in legal trouble for domestic violence. Thanks man! It's something I had always tried for, but even in high school I never had one despite a much more rigorous work out schedule. I also wear sweatshirts and semi-baggy shirts a lot, so I was kind of excited to show off a bit, even though it felt vain as hell.
I even hate when people take those pics but i was feeling good, said fuck it, and posted. It's helped my confidence though and the number of matches on tinder :) so it's an added bonus.

Pull ups my man! Lots of em.
I've been eating better, which is definitely a big part but I bought a door frame pull up bar and I've been grinding away at that for the last couple months. I don't really keep track of how many I do, i just do as many as I can then change grips and keep going until I can't. Then I go right back to doing whatever (typically fucking around on my computer) AND just continue to do several sets throughout the day. Any time I feel like I can do more I just hop up there and do some reps.
Keep your core tight and focus on keeping your arms in a locked position (your elbows have a tendency to tilt inward). Also the best way to target abs while doing pull ups is to hold your legs straight out, almost like you're sitting, and hold that while you do your reps.
I had an ok foundation to start with and i havent really been doing anything else other than pull ups a few planks and some pushups. But if you wanted to get more serious about it, it's actually pretty easy to build your ab mucles but hard to get them to show. A big part is diet, but I'm pretty lazy about mine. Something else that I've done that helps shed calories is I combine work outs. I do low weight, high reps, with very few breaks (as few as you can stand) and just focus on keeping your heart rate up. For example I'll sometimes do leg raises from my back and/or bicycle kicks while I pump out some dumbbell presses. I do that until I'm too tired then move to something else.. a bike, treadmill, etc. (Right now my go to has been a heavy bag) Anything that keeps you moving but gives your abs or arms a break. And keep doing that over and over until you're too tired. I lift to failure a lot of times too and if I can't do anymore pull ups or presses I'll just hold myself or the weight in a locked position until I can't hold it any longer.

I'll try and find the one I bought on amazon and post a link. There are probably better ones out there though, but in reality it's just a bar so your biggest concern is going to be whether it's sturdy or not. So just look at reviews and see what people have to say. I think mine only cost like $25-30.
And I'm in the same boat. I'm 6'2" and around 170. Weight gain has been a constant struggle. So a 6 pack should be easier for you. You can work on that and build on it. Your core is probably one of the more important muscle groups and generally uour foundation so it's a great place to start.

One of the biggest improvements I've made for my workout routine is getting one of those door frame pull up bars. It's cheap and it's right there. It makes it easy to to just stop and do some reps several times during the day. Beyond a few planks and push ups, it's pretty much the only reason I've gotten a 6 pack. Which is something I was never able to obtain in high school... so much time wasted on crunches.

Anyone can do bodyweight fitness if they have a single solitary spark of ambition to do so, and while I understand that a lot of people have really packed schedules everyone can find the time to do 30 minutes a day. You just need to do the best you can with what you have, and until you're doing that then you don't deserve to sit and complain about your tragic physique. As for eating healthy, if you're overweight just eat less of what you're eating now, even if what you're eating is total processed shit your body obeys the laws of thermodynamics. Also eating healthy has been proven to be cheaper than eating fast food and shit. Make the choice to get in shape or don't but don't sit there blaming your circumstances for your failures, and certainly don't try to take something away from people who do care enough to try.

I ride my bike 4 days a week and on those same days right before/after a ride I do a bodyweight routine. Total time per workout is about 2 hours during the work week and 3-4 hours on the weekend when I extend my rides out to 30+ miles.
I also work an average of 50 a week plus I'm married with a 3.5 year old. It can be done, a lot of people just want to make excuses, I did as well for years.
Before I started this regime 2 years ago I weighed 270 lbs(I'm 6ft tall) and my body fat % was in the high 20's. I'm now 185 and my body fat is closer to the mid teens. I don't have a perfect body but I look good with my clothes off now so I'm happy.
I haven't even touched on diet but that was most important for me. CICO with Lean meat and veggies for most meals with a cheat day once every few weeks.

That is completely false. I got in shape by hardly spending any money at all. I used cheap free weights at home and ate properly, and especially heightened my metabolism through disiplined eating and within less than a year I lost 150 pounds. Six months later Iโd added 50lbs of muscle.
Never set foot in a gym, didnโt have a trainer, got advice and tips off the Internet. Iโm far from rich, work three jobs and care for somebody with physical disabilities. Iโm downright poor compared to most in my neck of the woods. I donโt even have a car. And no billionaire can buy what I have achieved.

I understand your points that certain circumstances can make it hard to be healthy. But I was more focused on how you have to work for a good body. Even with a gym membership and trainer, you still need the commitment and effort. If money bought a good body then why does Trump look the way he does?

because it makes people feel bad about themselves. and people don't like to feel bad, it often makes them angry. ever hear a story of an over weight person giving someone shit for eating a salad ? same deal, the healthy person's very existence is an affront to that person's life choices.
They like to think they were born a certain way, what they eat doesn't matter, because they are comfortable, and change is hard, so to sleep at night, they make excuses, they build a perception of reality that allows them to live as they do, but when a healthy person says "oh I just eat healthy and run for 1hour every day" they realise the problems they have are their own fault, they feel like a child being given out to by a parent, and it makes them very uncomfortable.
people are exactly who they choose to be, some choose to be unhealthy and over weight, I know I choose to drink more soda then I should if I want to slim down, and I know I choose not to walk some days when I could do with some exercise. but its my fault, no one else will do it, others don't like accepting fault, so it can be very frustrating to be contradicted so heavily by reality.

Telomerase is real. It's a real enzyme that is known to extend the ends of chromosomes and is linked to longevity because it counteracts the shortening of chromosomes due to the normal DNA replication process. It is produced at high levels in children and cancer cells. This guy just mixes the real words and concepts with random cool words to make it sound profound, but it just sounds like gibberish. He cites studies but provides no direct links, which can be problematic because multiple studies on the same topic can come out in the same year. Without a direct link we also can't compare what he says to what the scientists actually conclude. Lifestyle studies are especially hard to draw conclusions from because of the confounding factors. A pretty powerful confounding factor in old man/young woman marriages is probably wealth. Obviously a wealthy family generally lives longer.
Personally I'm laughing at his gibberish telomerase + progesterone link. His reasoning is so wacky. Also, how is he going to have enough progesterone (a female sex hormone) so that it can actually affect him? Is he going to drink litres of his hypothetical girlfriend's blood? It probably wouldn't work, and I really doubt that any such link exists in the first place.

I can't believe I actually looked up his "sources" in order to try to understand this gibberish... For the most part it is random words, irrelevant facts, and misunderstood and misused concepts.
For his very first sentence, he says a young woman would live longer with him than someone their age and cites the 2009 Nobel prize for the discovery of telomerase. The Nobel prize document describes how small discoveries in microorganisms led up to the discovery. No mention of couples. While it is true that many cancer cells overexpress telomerase, there is a difference between cancerous overexpression and the normal levels of expression found in young people. His other claims about the detrimental effects of telomerase in the young (cancer, immune system...) are also hilariously wrong.
I actually can't find a study that says that older men produce healthier children. It says the opposite - older men's children have increased risk of autism, mental illness, cancer, diabetes, etc. I'm on mobile so linking is hard, but if you want the sources I'll go get them. Not sure where the brown skin part comes from.
Progesterone does regulate the levels of telomerase in a complicated, time-dependent way, but the studies are talking about cells within the same body, since the hormone is carried by the circulatory system.
Chromosomal attrition is real (refers to telomerase shortening over time since telomerase isn't extending it enough), but is irrelevant to what he's saying.
The Hayflick limit is the number of times a cell can divide before becoming old (senescence). The sentence he uses the phrase in seems to say that you decrease the limit with more telomerase, but in reality you actually increase it.
Basically nonsense.

16 is "legal" (but with many conditions) also here in Italy. The thing is (I know because I work in a court in Italy) if a 40 years old guy has an affair with a 16yo girl, chances are that he still will be charged with something. He will still face legal troubles. THEN he may be cleared of charges if the girls testifies that all was with consent and there were not any kind of "moral submissions". But I wouldn't risk (and I also would not date a 16 years old girl)

In most countries when someone is of legal age of consent it isn't a crime for anyone to have consensual sex with them. Normally it's just looked down upon.
Edit: with exceptions where consent can't be given (prison officer and prisoner) or they breach the position of trust law.

There are places in the US where it's ONLY LEGAL with a 16 year old if the partner is between 0-4 years older. So 16 & 20 is ok, 16 & 25 is not okay. It all depends on state laws in the US, but in most places if the age of consent is 16 (or 18 or whatever) then it's 16 and that's that. Most states have some kind of law about how the age of consent is 18 but the one is 16 and the other is 20 it's still OK (the age difference might change by state, but they're called Romeo and Juliet Laws and allow the age of consent laws to bend based on the age difference). I think some states still have an age of consent around 14 but for most it's 18 and some it's 16.

The age of consent is 14 in my province, but only if the person they're sleeping with is a reasonably similar age. It's not legal for an adult to fuck a kid where I live, and I find it disturbing that it is anywhere.

I remember a few situations from when I was in high school that seem really wrong now. It wasn't everyone that was dating a freshman, but it felt like a lot of people did exploitive things to the freshmen just because they didn't know any better. From what I've been told it bothered them more as they got a bit older than at the time too.
Like, the 14 year olds were used to being the older kids at the middle school and were far from as mature as the other high school students at that point though they catch up and become moody high school students fast.

You only have to be 18 in less than half the states in the US for age of consent. A few states are 17. Most are 16.

He is correct. 16 is the age of consent in Canada for sexual consent apart from anal intercourse which is 18.
The close-in-age aspect comes in for 14 and 15 year olds. 14 was the previous age of consent up until I think the mid 2000's, so long as the adult was not in a position of authority. That is fucked.

No, of course not. Of course it isn't literally all people who date minors, or all people in relationships with large age gaps where one person is under like 25. I think that this is the same guy who last time it was posted someone posted a link to an article where he felt he was being discriminated against because a coffee shop banned him for making their staff uncomfortable, and he focused on the worst parts (I think he said things like that it wasn't "wrong" for him to ask out 16 year olds while they were working and it wasn't illegal).

It annoys me how it's used to mean any kind of dressing up, but not to the point of hating it with passion or anything. Like ask someone if they're doing anything for Halloween, and they say "Cosplaying as X". Whhaaattt ... no, you're DRESSING UP AS X. I think the difference (in my mind) is that cosplaying is when you go all-the-fuck-out and work on a costume for like months to get it to the point where people go "oh shit that's awesome". This looks like it was originally posted as a joke by the guy in the pics but having a quick look through r/sadcringe I get the feeling it has a lot of potential of becoming a subreddit for cyber bullying.
Imagine being an insecure person doing his/her best to be accepted or finding love and failing gloriously. Imagine finding your face on the front page of reddit after said glorious failure. So, as I do, I read through like every comment on his multiple Facebook pages because I enjoy watching trainwrecks. I have discovered that he has schizo-effective bi-polar disorder and often has psychotic breaks and has been in legal trouble for domestic violence. Apparently his family has pleaded with the public to not egg him on as it could be not only harmful to this guy but also young women in his area. So there is quite a bit of sad with this cringe.
