Actually that would make a great game overall. You could tie it into a Zelda game, but I think more God of war style would work better. Make health items plentiful and make it so you can attack one way without doing damage to yourself, but it does next to nothing. Then the main attack slowly kills you with every hit.
I think there was a psp game called infection where your ammo was your own blood and it had a similar mechanic only it was a shooter.
There's a gun in Destiny that uses your health as ammo when the magazine is empty. Also increases the damage when it takes health.

I'm in that sub more often than I actually play. But I was thinking more puzzle based and no health regen.
Bungie made that gun special for the raid, as being invincible made the gun a monster, and they grant you invincibility. It has very little use outside of the raid now that they took of the bubble perks.
I was thinking more Zelda/GoW where you have a health bar and health regen items.
I shall! I love it when characters develop their own little personalities in my comic. It reminds me of the awesome Awkward Zombie and how she portrays Marth. :)

Btw, I notice you use tumblr for your comics and you have that nice forward/backward layout for your webcomics. Is that a default layout or did you code that yourself? I've been trying to get my own comics online for some time now.
If you are using Tumblr, it's the theme named 'Simple Webcomic Theme'. Nice and easy to use and you can design your own back/forward buttons. There are also sites like Tapastic which are dedicated to webcomics. :)

Triva: Due to the fact that in melee Picchu and not pikachu was able to wear Google's as an alternate costume and pikachu was not, it is thought that the melee Picchu evolved into the pikachu we see in later versions of smash.
I had a comic idea where this was the case... and Jigglypuff was wondering what happened to the original Pikachu. It got a bit dark, so I decided to leave it, but I may revisit it later :D
It's a lovely little reference to the game, and is Villager's recovery (up-B) move in Smash! Drifloon went perfectly with that move, and one of my followers on Tumblr suggested it. The second comic was done based on suggestions from my followers, which I really loved!

I'm gonna disagree. The Sonic annuals say that he moves at the speed of light, as does the "History of Sonic the Hedgehog" booklet thing. The only reference I know of to Sonic moving at the speed of sound are song lyrics and the use of the in-game use of the phrase "Sonic speed" which is clearly more a pun than an actual assessment.
Shit, how did I not know about this comic until now?
Not only with the Mewtwo jokes, but someone who loves Smash that not only includes items but makes them integral to things in every day Smash life - something I think the bulk of the Smash community are far too quick to shun.
I find items just give me another thing that's a possible joke. The 'Marth Vader' one was pretty successful and that revolves around them. :D It's mainly the competitive community who aren't fans!
One "mach" is the speed of sound. Two mach is exactly twice the speed of sound. Although the speed of sound changes slightly depending on the conditions of the air, so that's why it was "just over"
I'm pretty sure Sonic is canonically much faster than his namesake would suggest. He's been clocked at close to light speeds, albeit only temporarily, and usually with the aid of chaos emeralds.
Oh yes, I'm sure Sonic is able to outspeed everyone! I think I read that he can get a Light Speed power-up as well? But I don't think he appreciates the taunting ;)
That just might be the games limitations. When he's flying there's a blur behind him, and jumping twice creates a flash of light, which could indicate light speed in a way.
I think Pidgeot would be something like Latias and Latios. And I imagine Exeggutor stomping around the stage acting as a platform/barrier (so characters would get walled by him/wouldn't be able to jump through him).
Ah, I get it, really nice comic, just a little thing that irked me.

Can you imagine how riding a Pidgeot would actually go? When he reached 80km/h, you'd be almost suffocating with no helmet. If by some reason you managed to stay on top of it until it reached Mach 2, you'd be torn to pieces.
The number of things which would kill you in Pokémon is quite funny. Reading through some of the Dex entries for this made me laugh! Magcargo for example.
Just wanted to tell you that I love your comics, I just discovered them and I love them! They are like a new Brawl in the Family and that's a big praise because I loved those comics
I'm a real fan of this comic. Just a question though, would you consider posting on Tapastic? It's a really great host for webcomics and the like, and I feel it would fit.
It's a difficult one. Tumblr has a really huge audience for these fan-comics and I've been established there for a while, but Tapastic is much better-designed for the purpose. I am actually considering creating a non-fandom comic and I'd definitely look at Tapastic for that!
I don't know if Twitter is easier at all, but I'm on there @finalsmashcomic if so :)
Thank you! My best advice would be to tag everything correctly (this can make a huge difference), to follow blogs which do similar content, and to try and post (though not to a spammy extent) on sites such as Reddit, where you feel there will be enough interest. :)
Lol, thank you! Okay I definitely keep those tips in mind. I do have ideas in mind for comics, but I worry about the execution of my jokes. Were there certain things you had problems with when making your comics?
I had (and still have) a lot of crises of confidence with "is this funny or not?" I think the best idea sometimes can be to just put things out there and see which stick/do well, and how they are received. Humour is so subjective, so you will never please everyone, and that's something you always need to remember.
Also, pacing. If you can cut panels, cut them! This is something I have been trying to improve on recently.
It's hard to say, but I think overall the jokes carry more weight than the artwork. Having nice art helps, but the joke tends to be what makes people like or reblog/retweet something. :)
If you made a non-fandom comic, would it be more one-off gags, just involving a set of original characters, or would it have a plot? Either is cool, I'm just curious.

I make them over several days and with lots of breaks, so timelapsing wouldn't work too well - I do stream sometimes however (I'm just "finalsmashcomic" on Twitch) and I draw little bits and pieces on there! :)

Yveltal, flies up, and shoots Oblivion Wing. Yveltal can be smashed away by a powerful attack, but every % it deals, half gets returned to the player who threw the ball.
They'd better not hit it too hard though, I hear it has a habit of sucking the life from everyone!! I like the idea, after all, if Xerneas can be in the game, why not Yveltal?

Honedge would actually be a good idea as a Pokeball/item fusion. Use it to attack but your damage increases.

Have you considered just making a new account?
Just make an account with the username you want, then transfer all your subscriptions to the new account. There isn't an automatic way to do this yet, but it doesn't take too long to do it manually.
First go here.
In the bottom of the sidebar, there should be a button that takes you to a multireddit of all your current subscriptions. Click that button.
Copy the URL, then log into your new account. Visit the URL you just copied, and hit all the green "Subscribe" buttons.
It's not hard, it just takes a couple minutes. I've jumped ship twice now, don't regret a second of it.

I'm gonna disagree. The Sonic annuals say that he moves at the speed of light, as does the "History of Sonic the Hedgehog" booklet thing. The only reference I know of to Sonic moving at the speed of sound are song lyrics and the use of the in-game use of the phrase "Sonic speed" which is clearly more a pun than an actual assessment.

One "mach" is the speed of sound. Two mach is exactly twice the speed of sound. Although the speed of sound changes slightly depending on the conditions of the air, so that's why it was "just over"

I'm pretty sure Sonic is canonically much faster than his namesake would suggest. He's been clocked at close to light speeds, albeit only temporarily, and usually with the aid of chaos emeralds.

That just might be the games limitations. When he's flying there's a blur behind him, and jumping twice creates a flash of light, which could indicate light speed in a way.

I think Pidgeot would be something like Latias and Latios. And I imagine Exeggutor stomping around the stage acting as a platform/barrier (so characters would get walled by him/wouldn't be able to jump through him).

Can you imagine how riding a Pidgeot would actually go? When he reached 80km/h, you'd be almost suffocating with no helmet. If by some reason you managed to stay on top of it until it reached Mach 2, you'd be torn to pieces.

It's a difficult one. Tumblr has a really huge audience for these fan-comics and I've been established there for a while, but Tapastic is much better-designed for the purpose. I am actually considering creating a non-fandom comic and I'd definitely look at Tapastic for that!

Thank you! My best advice would be to tag everything correctly (this can make a huge difference), to follow blogs which do similar content, and to try and post (though not to a spammy extent) on sites such as Reddit, where you feel there will be enough interest. :)
A good, clean layout will also help!

I had (and still have) a lot of crises of confidence with "is this funny or not?" I think the best idea sometimes can be to just put things out there and see which stick/do well, and how they are received. Humour is so subjective, so you will never please everyone, and that's something you always need to remember.
Also, pacing. If you can cut panels, cut them! This is something I have been trying to improve on recently.

It's hard to say, but I think overall the jokes carry more weight than the artwork. Having nice art helps, but the joke tends to be what makes people like or reblog/retweet something. :)
