Actually Armaldo is based on Anomalocaris which isn't a crustacean and Kabutops is based on trilobites with some horseshoe crab thrown in(Neither of which are crustaceans)

It's based off the coconut crab and they don't go in the water. There is literally no reason for it to be water type. If it evolves it will either stay pure fighting or maybe pick up either the steel type or the ground type.

It does have Iron Fist as an ability. It'll be fun to see what this thing can do.

If it does hopefully krabby will get them as egg moves and finally have a good use for sheer force.

I definitely agree. I was quite disappointed by some of the French names (not that it matters since I nickname my Pokémon anyway), and "Nounourson" (i.e: Stufful's french name) is absolutely boring as well imo, but the sand castles' names are fantastic.

Double Battle: Have a bulky Pallosand make an ally Greninja / Accelgor use Water Shuriken on it. Now it's impossible to KO it with physical attacks

Oh man, this thing in doubles could have some potential if it's not too frail. Give it absorb bulb and have a partner with a weak surf (or just have it out against a Pokemon with water type coverage) and he's getting mad boosts!

Its ability sucks. It's a ground type. It's taking a shit ton of damage if it gets hit with a water move anyway. It apparently doesn't negate the damage. Plus, three of the most popular water moves, scald, surf, and hydro pump, hit on the special side anyway.

Keep in mind, it doesn't negate the damage, and you're still weak to water.

When I saw the ability name I thought it was going to go from Ghost/Ground to Ghost/Rock when hit with a water attack.

It doesn't always double your defense, it raises it by 2 levels ("sharply rose").

I don't mind it so much on Sandygast but the spinning shovel radar on Palossand looks ridiculous.

as pointed out, Dwebble and Crustle were crabs, though, but hermit crabs. imo, there's such a wide variety of crabs and crustaceans that we could have five more crab families and it wouldn't be too redundant. we haven't even had a prawn, krill, or a real proper lobster yet.
