Hi guys and gals. I just started another run on omega ruby and I want to truly test my skills as a trainer. I want to know what the hardest pokemon to raise are and thought that you could give me a few ideas. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated, but special attention will be paid to those that can explain why their choice is the worst.
Thanks for all the help I think I have my team.

I think sunkern has the lowest base stats out of any pokemon, and I think delcatty has the lowest base stats out of any fully evolved pokemon, so you could take a look at those two. Not sure if sunflora is decent.

Sadly... Sunflora is god awful

At least sunflora is useable with it's good special attack and okay speed with chrolophyll.

I can't knock Skitty and Delcatty considering it was the only Pokemon on my team in ORAS that had enough bulk to stand up to Winona's Altaria.

I actually used Delcatty for Omega Ruby (because I wanted to use the team from the manga), and found that despite the low stats Delcatty has a decent moveset. I think I had it with a sleep inducing move, dream eater and wake-up slap.

If you really hate yourself, use an Unown. The absolute worst Pokemon ever. It has one move that is determined by values out of your control. Awful

This reminds me of my shiny pokemon story.
When I was playing Sapphire for the first time, I had no idea shiny pokemon existed. I never seen one in Silver. So, there I was, surfing away from that log town in the ocean. I encountered a wingull. A green one that sparkled. WTF is this shit? Is my game fucked up? Well, I should catch it to show my friends! I later found out the odds of that happening and was extremely disappointed.
Fast forward many years. I was playing through Soul Silver and was exploring the Ruins when suddenly BLUE Z UNOWN. Fuck me. Of course this would be the shiny I find.
Two shinies ever in my life. Both depressing.

Unown.
This guy is the worst. There are Pokemon with low-BST, Pokemon with shitty move pools, or even gimmick Pokemon, but this guy takes the cake.
Unown is the embodiment of the unholy trinity described above.
Unown's BST clocks in at a pitiful 336. Our buddy Sunkern is the lowest of them all, but at least he can evolve and learn some moves. Relevant to this topic is Shedinja, which has the lowest-BST of all fully evolved Pokemon with 236. It also has 1 HP... Forever. The gimmick is strong with this one, though, in the form of Wonder Guard.
It only learns Hidden Power, and cannot learn any TMs or HMs (like our friend Delibird).
Unown is known to be a gimmick Pokemon, or at best a Pokemon that is relevant to the plot in some way. One like Luvdisc, whose sole existence is to farm Heart Scales from, at least can learn some relevant moves.
Everything considered, Unown takes the cake. It simply cannot be debated in any way. If you're in for the ultimate challenge, see if you can take a team of six Unowns all the way to the Championship. I don't even know if it's possible.

Delibird
It has as much base stats as Luvdisc, lower speed, and defence (though a bit more offensive stats). Delibird only learns one move by leveling up (Present), which has a 50% chance of healing the target, instead of dealing damage to it.

Delibird with Hustle is actually pretty fun. I bred one for a Christmas-themed ORAS run with Ice Punch, taught it Aerial Ace, Brick Break, and Fly. I would totally recommend using a Delibird.

You are joking right?

About what? Delibird is really fun. With Hustle it gets a 50% attack bonus at a 10% drop in accuracy, pretty good mix with STAB Aerial Ace as it never misses. It's not very viable competitively, but no reason you couldn't work it into a standard single-player game.

God forbid someone has fun in single player

Plusle and Minun especially if it's not a double battle. You have to waste turns getting their special attack up to something that'll be even halfway decent. And you have to hope they don't immediately faint to anything they're up against with their frail defenses. They're basically glorified cheerleaders used to power up other Pokemon.

I used Nincada once and remember it leveling up terribly slow. This may be because it is gains exp for 2 pokemon. Then use Shedinja!

Everyone else is saying Sunkern and Unown, which are all crappy Pokรฉmon. However, I wanna suggest a Chansey. I mean, I know it's bulky, but is it that much of a power house? Probably not! I think you'd end up getting a bit frustrated with it!
