I would also bob my head up and down to keep the raindrops, or whatever other spot happened to be on the window, from hitting any power lines, other cars, etc...

Scientists believe rain went extinct some time in the early 1980s. It's rumored to still exist, but no verified observations have been made since then. Quite sad.
When I was little, I'd sit in the front seat when my dad took the car in for car washes. When the air dryers came on, it'd blow droplets up the window, and I'd pretend they were little soldiers running maneuvers. :)
This one time... I spent at least a good hour just swirling this 2 liter bottle of Pepsi and just watching the bubbles form islands then gradually fading out of existences. I did this over and over for an hour. Pretty mesmerizing as an 8 year old.
Once again, something i did as a child i find out everyone else did too. My neverendimg journey to kill any uniqueness i thought i had continues.. Haha

My friend said to me, "I think the weather's trippy."
I said, "No, man, it's not the weather that's trippy, perhaps it is the way that we perceive it that is indeed trippy." Then I thought, "Man, I should have just said, 'Yeah.'"
Remembering the age of creativity and imagination in which you could appreciate two raindrops racing each other is nostalgic though, at least for me. This post gave me a strange sensation of reflecting on my past that I don't get in the same way when someone posts a picture of a cartoon I'd watch or a toy I had - I might say it is my favourite post yet.

So brilliant, yet so simple.

I also did this, but my favorite was to use a chip in the windshield as a sight to shoot stuff going down the road!

I am just astounded how many things children do in common. Like I totally made the race thing up in my own head yet so did everyone else? Idk

Confirmed post 80s sighting since I was born in 1990, and I definitely remember rain. At least in the UK, since I moved to Canada, all I see is snow.
Supernuke ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 10:27:26 on July 16, 2013 ยท (Permalink)
yeah people tend to crash violently when driving their cars and staring at raindrops instead of the road. Couldn't drive back then.

I'd get attached to some raindrops that used to take ages to finish and would collect raindrop friends on the way down.

oh shit I made up whole back stories about raindrops falling down windows.
usually on rainy days where I was sentenced to an hour of sitting in the living room without any toys or games.

My sister and I used to pick a raindrop on our specific window in the car and race them to see which would reach the edge first. Fun times.
