I'm so glad I am not the only one. It's my go-to cuss word now.
It's evolved to "what a piece" and "x is such a piece". I use it for self-denigration, by calling myself a "real piece" when I make a mistake. I even say "YOUP" to shorten it when don't have the seconds to spare saying it in full.
Seriously, I need help. I say it all the time, when I am frustrated about work. I work from home at the moment but will have to go back to office one day. How do I control my "you piece" usage in the office to avoid ending up in HR?
I'm sure I have said it in front of my parents. They're Indian so, they probably don't even know what I am saying. But still.
I call my boyfriend a piece when I am really upset at him. He gets more offended by that than if I called him a more vulgar word... that rhymes with "hunt".
He's an NL fan, so he gets it at least.
Anyway from one piece to another, please help.
