Gotta love the spicy chicken sandwich, I usually add bacon.

The_Law_of_Pizza ยท 3 points ยท Posted at 16:05:35 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

The fact that they discontinued the spicy chicken biscuit is an affront to humanity.

It is the final and most powerful sign that we are in the darkest timeline.

Wow never thought of adding bacon. Take this upvote

Undercover officers would never ask for a law enforcement discount. And where I'm from giving law enforcement discounts are illegal. I know it's not the same in USA.

theflamingskull ยท 38 points ยท Posted at 18:14:05 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

It may not be illegal, but accepting discounts is highly looked down upon by many departments.

[deleted] ยท 19 points ยท Posted at 20:03:28 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

I worked at a Pizza hut years ago. We always gave cops free pizza. They returned the favor by hanging out in our parking lot for a couple hours while we closed up and got into it cars at night.

Qel_Hoth ยท 58 points ยท Posted at 22:12:26 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Which is exactly why it is considered unethical for law enforcement to accept gratuities. If they're hanging out in your parking lot at closing, they're not hanging out in your competitor's parking lot. Yet you are both paying the same taxes for the same protection.

A cop randomly choosing a parking lot is fine. Businesses offering gratuities to police officers, in the hopes that police officers will frequent the business, are not fine.

Zzyzzy_Zzyzzyson ยท 5 points ยท Posted at 02:49:04 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Shit at the gas station I worked at we openly flaunted that we gave cops discounts and they were always hanging around outside. I got to know at least three of them on a first name basis.

[deleted] ยท 4 points ยท Posted at 03:08:57 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Oh no, the world will stop turning if a cop hangs out for a few minutes

The_Law_of_Pizza ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 16:13:42 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

One cop hanging out for a few minutes outside of one business isn't a huge deal.

Just like one employee taking one hamburger off the grill for themselves isn't a huge deal.

But it becomes a systemic problem if you don't nip it in the bud. If a critical mass of cops are sitting in the parking lots of businesses that give them a discount, that means that it's much easier to target other businesses with crime.

No convenience store will want to be "the store that has no cops around between 12pm and 1am." And the only way they can fix that is by offering the cops a bribe discount?

Completely unethical and unsustainable.

The one I worked at gave them free coffee

GoatBased ยท 3 points ยท Posted at 20:26:56 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

So many cops do it though.

That's really good to hear

AnticitizenPrime ยท 5 points ยท Posted at 05:11:26 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Used to drive a retired Crown Vic police car and had to wear a suit for work. Got discounts frequently at drive throughs but never asked for one. They'd just say 'we gave you a discount!' and I'd say thanks and drive off. Never was explicitly asked if I was a cop.

A felony to get a $7 sandwich. Someone ain't all there.

ParacelsusTBvH ยท 17 points ยท Posted at 23:23:07 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Not even. She just wanted a discount, 10 - 20% probably.

Felony for $1.40.

VersChorsVers ยท 18 points ยท Posted at 18:24:27 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

They knew she was a fraud when she showed up on Sunday and demanded the discount.

gospdrcr000 ยท 6 points ยท Posted at 19:32:44 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

She pushed the issue wayy too far, she did it to herself

the_simurgh ยท 3 points ยท Posted at 22:08:50 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

and i thought it was shameless that a 40 year old woman was trying to make the cashier give her the senior citizen discount.

this is the most georgia shit i've ever seen besides the MARTA bus blocking the dome implosion

SlowYerRoll1 ยท 4 points ยท Posted at 21:41:47 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

A law enforcement discount? Isn't that just another word for extortion? I can't believe that is a real thing.

Lol and you can get the discount in security uniforms too. Seen it a bunch of times. Not at all serious

Man, I love chick fill et too but it's not worth a federal charge

Even the president knows that if you're gonna break laws, you get McDonalds every day.

honestcheetah ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 23:03:59 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

When I was younger as a barista I felt like some kind of nazi asking to see the customers military ID in order for them to receive the discount.

caitydaisy ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 23:29:41 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

I have 2 more days of due diligence for a house Iโ€™m closing on in that city. This doesnโ€™t bode well.

gorgewall ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 23:53:25 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Took me half a second to parse this as something other than "woman indicted for impersonating Federal law enforcement receives Chick-fil-A discount [because they thought that was great]".

sonokush ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 17:29:20 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Chick-Fil-A is good and all, but I don't know if it's 2 felonies worth good.

[deleted] ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 21:51:09 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Is this really the kind of case we want to spend taxpayer dollars prosecuting though? A woman trying to save a buck on a chicken sandwich by pretending to be a federal agent?

Miffers ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 02:30:10 on February 21, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

What kind of discount? 25%

fierceindependence23 ยท 1 points ยท Posted at 06:08:38 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Boy, a woman claiming to be a cop to get a free sandwich goes to jail, bit real cops steal your stuff and they get rewarded for it.

xgwujrep ยท 2 points ยท Posted at 21:03:07 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Law enforcement agent discount? Geez, how many classes of special people should we have in society?

Maybe all government workers need to pay full price? Taxpayers don't get discounts.

Hav3_Y0u_M3t_T3d ยท -1 points ยท Posted at 21:15:23 on February 19, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Most tax payers don't put themselves in harm's way as part of their job

kak0phony ยท 5 points ยท Posted at 02:40:41 on February 20, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Yeah, just the ones that have to deal with law enforcement

Police isn't a top 10 most dangerous job

xgwujrep ยท 0 points ยท Posted at 22:42:37 on February 24, 2018 ยท (Permalink)

Oh Pleez....have you actually looked at the death rate of police vs the public? Police work doesn't even make it to the top of the list.

The only risk most of em face is choking on all those free shakedowns they're demanding.

When danger reared it's ugly head,

He bravely turned his tail and fled,

Oh brave Sir Robin turned about,

And valiantly he chickened out,

Bravely taking to his feet,

He beat a very brave retreat

Bravest of the Brave, Sir Robin!
