Don't make marker armor stands black when inside blocks

Sometimes, it's nice to display items or blocks, floating in the world or spinning or whatever you like. Fortunately, we have armor stands for this!
Unfortunately, armor stands turn their equipment black whenever they are inside a block. For normal stands, this is based on their head. For markers, this is based on their feet.
This is just horrible. Say I want an item to display on the ground, like this
[1]. I need to use a non-marker armor stand to accomplish this, because a marker would turn the item black because its feet are underground.
The issue with that is that the non-marker armor stand has a hitbox and will also turn black if there is a block to the side of it.
Marker armor stands should never turn their equipment black. It would make everything a lot easier. Thank you!

It's something with the lighting system. Don't ask me why, but any mob inside a block will turn black.

Exactly. If the entity's eye level is receiving no light, it has to assume it's in darkness.
I just ask for an exception to this rule for marker armor stands.

Because technically the light only touches the outside of the block. Inside, it's light level 0. I'd imagine this is why half slabs and the lower part of stairs makes the sky dark and f3 say 0 light since you're in that space.

Why would you downvote this? It's not like it's harming your Minecraft experience! Nobody benefits from the blackness of armor stands when they are inside blocks, so stop downvoting!
