I made Seth's Hot Lava minigame with command blocks (x-post /r/minecraft)

Command Block Minigame - SethBling's Hot Lava!

After watching SethBling's Mindcrack video on the survival "floor is lava" game, I thought it would be fun to create it with command blocks.

Basic Settings

At the console, you can easily enable/disable various blocks and set the number of lives/blocks easily with an understandable, clean system. There is also an option to toggle Redemption Mode / Last Man Standing mode.

My system allows you to set a template course, which is copied to the play area each round. This way, there is no need to build a course from scratch every game.

When I begin the game, the template course is copied. Note the poorly drawn smiley face. Players can then proceed to tweak the course to their liking for that round. There are many convenient tools available to build the course quickly and easily.

A player can choose to place blocks or attempt to touch every lamp without touching clay on their turn. I place blocks. The brick item will show how many placements you have left, and you can drop it to switch between two block sets. Disabled blocks cannot be placed. The other players take turns placing blocks until someone is confident enough to attempt to touch every lamp without contacting the clay lava.

If you fail at your attempt, you lose a life and your turn ends. Run out of lives and you are out of the game. In LMS mode, the last man alive wins. In Redemption mode, the last man alive must continually attempt the course until they win or run out of lives themselves. If this happens, all players are given one more life.

When a player completely attempts the course, they win! When a game ends, all players are brought back to the console to start again!

I've spent a lot of time polishing and perfecting this game, and I think it's pretty awesome! I analyzed every aspect and tried to make it look and feel as good as possible, making controls simple and consistent.
