Norman writes a hate note

Norman had just gotten off work and began walking home when he noticed a car taking up two parking spaces in the parking lot of his favorite supermarket. Norman realized he had blank post it notes and a pen in his suitcase. Norman had never written a hate note before and worried he may never get the opportunity again.

Norman didn't want to let this guy off lightly because he parked so inconsiderately so he decided he would really let him have it in this note. Norman poured his anger out into the note, not letting himself hold back. Please park more carefully the note read.

When Norman got home his palms were still sweating and the adrenaline kept him shaking. Satisfied with himself he turned on CSI and leaned back in his chair. He still couldn't believe how boldly he acted as that was unlike him. Norman came to greet Norman and lied down on his lap. "You would not believe what I did today!" Norman exclaimed excitedly, as he pulled out the note from his pocket and showed it to Norman.

that ending was perfect

Absolutely, the ending alone makes this one of the best stories I've read here.

This made me literally laugh out loud.

I wish mine was half as good. I read all these great ones and think, "why didn't I think of this...?"

Bourbon_Munch ยท 46 points ยท Posted at 12:42:34 on October 22, 2015 ยท (Permalink)

The true merit of a Norman story is if you think you could write it just as well- if the style and plot are natural enough to engage the reader and make them want to reciprocate.

Source: Norman told me.

This is probably one of the best of Norman I have read.

Meanwhile back at the store Norma was also getting out of work and had begun to walk to her car. It had been a long day for her, she wasn't used to standing on her feet all day. This new grocery store job was nothing like her old one, she was always moving around. There was a man that was standing by her car that she had seen in the store before. She thought it was odd that he was standing by her car. He was doing something too, though she couldn't tell what it might be.
He stood by her car for several minutes scribbling furiously and then throwing the paper away and scribbling more notes onto another piece of paper. He finally finished, and with a satisfied nod stuffed the paper into his pocket and, after looking around, he continued on his way. Norma approached her car and realized she had parked crookedly. "Oh dear" Norma thought, "I've parked crookedly."

i like to browse this website, where people write things in different categories of forums? they're called subreddits, and this particular one is about this middle aged guy, people post things and... nvm.

Just discovered this subreddit and I absolutely loved this as my first Norman experience.

I've only been here a few days but this is easily the best Norman story I have ever read; and I read all the top posts of all time! It has all the elements: work, Norman the cat, doing something bold that isn't actually bold, Norman feeling quite passionate (on the inside) about something silly, and Norman skipping out on actually doing anything! This is absolutely perfect.

GunpowderLad ยท 13 points ยท Posted at 21:52:05 on October 21, 2015 ยท (Permalink)

I'm sure Norman felt good letting off some steam.

This was really good! I'm disappointed that he didn't put the note there, but it really is characteristic of Norman to keep it. Great job!

yea, Norman built up the courage to go and write the note but he didn't even give it to the guy, and he was still proud of himself.
