Honestly watching your last games to legend just blows my mind how much you're thinking ahead and playing around potential threats. It's really nice to see you explain your choices as well, I try and 'call' what I'd do in your place before you make your turn, I'm not right most of the time! The way you play it blows me away.
Holding them back from what? There are 2 tier 1 decks that are 2000 dust and 2100 dust respectively. Blaming your collection for not being able to climb is bullshit. As it starts right now you can get like 19+ free packs and 95 dust in a day or 2 on a f2p account. This is more than enough to create an aggro shaman or a zoo deck and climb.
You can get those cards relatively quickly. You can build out the entire aggro shaman Tier 1 list in 1 week without any issues and climb to legend if that is your goal and you are good enough. Also a bunch of the aggro shaman lists are not even running lava shocks, so the one card you would have to grind out is tunnel trogg.
1400 gold isn't "relatively quickly" - assuming you got 50 gold per day that's around 28 days for one or two cards and that's assuming you only want to play aggro shaman every game

Patting myself on the back for creating a similar deck on the first day of Standard, mainly because it was one of my favourite decks before WotoG. I only play quests though so I didn't get to legend. I was winning a lot but I didn't know it was this good.
Because we're in a recession and there's literally no chance any of our generation will own property or escape debt, let alone land stable employment. We need to blame/ take our rage out on someone.
The core of this deck has been known for a very long time now and the win condition has been the core of pretty much ever f2p warrior deck out there. There's no need to congratulate yourself.

The upgraded version has one patron, one worgen, 2 frothing and a thaurissan. In general; the non F2P version is just very different and not a TON better.

Swap a loot hoarder for bloodmage. Maybe swap out a bomber for patron.
don't really think you want a bloodmage. the spell damage is not more relevant than loot horder's 2 power for pressuring and potentially trading up. it's also a much better turn 2 play

This deck is great. I also have a F2P account on the Asia server but I got lucky and opened a Leeroy, so I swapped it into this list for a Kor'kron. It actually made the deck worse because Kor'kron is used so often in the mid-game and Leeroy doesn't fill that role. Great job building this deck...I'm going to keep it as my go-to deck on the Asia server.

f2p is alot different than 'no rares+" requirement. f2p is just a new fresh account and whichever cards you open you can put them in, barring legendaries perhaps. this ends up decks that are 90% close to net decks since you can still use rares.
Yeah it works alright, I've seen some top streamers like Thijs playing Worgen otk in legend and winning (but I think he used Faceless manipulator too).
This is a very interesting twist on worgen warrior, I tried to build one with a control-ish style and only one piece of combo (worgen, charge, inner rage and faceless) but the fact that it required one thaurissan tick and drawing nearly your entire deck made it too slow and I couldn't have good results with it.
I'm curious about the playstyle of this one, is it more aggressive or do you try to build up the combo and control the board?

Currently sitting at #57 legend with this list, so I'd recommend it!
Deck seems super packed, almost impossible to cut any cards.
For example, if I have Emperor Thaurissan, Patrons obviously (same wing) and 1X frothing berserker, Blood to Ichor etc. Is there a way to improve this deck?
I suspect Emperor T doesn't help much unless you have all combo pieces. Frothing is OK but probably gets killed too fast.
And if you swap Patron for 1 Raging Worgen - then you depend on pulling that single Worgen out of you deck and it could loose you a match if game gets too long.
I don't think patron fits too well on this deck. You will probably need to run 2 patrons +ww+ichor, etc. Emperor is usually run when you have the faceless version. I guess you could technically cut mad bombers for emperor and faceless but I'm not 100% sure.

The real question is What's the win % of this deck? Technically you can get to legend with almost any deck, it's a matter of time that a lot of people don't have. Playing 600 games a month with 10 minutes per game - impossible for a lot of folks, right?
Love this deck, been playing this in my ranked games and having a blast. Too bad you can't play around Ice Block with this :(

Thanks! You can usually pop block before turn 9 and still have some leftover chargers/weapons to finish off the game, but freeze mage isn't a common enough match-up to be worth teching against anyways.
Yeah. I won a game popping the block early, but otherwise if the opponent is also setting up some tempo on the board, it can be a little tough to burst him before he kills you.
Then again, I liked to keep the element of surprise when I was trying the deck out.

How many games did it take though? That's the kicker any time someone does this with something they claim to be F2P.
If it took twice as long as it would with a normal deck then it's not really "free" as the average player probably can't afford to spend that much time laddering in any given month.

Only a good win-rate deck can hit top 100 asia legend.
How is it not free? If you don't spend a penny, is free.
The time invested in piloting this deck to legend is gonna be very different between each player. One can do it with a consistent 60%WR, maybe other will do it with a 70%WR and others can do it with a 52% win rate.
In fact the amount of time that each player can put into the game can't be measured that easy honestly. For some players, playing more than 3 games a day is way too much, for others, is easy to get a couple free hours and play 10 or 12 games a day.
When someone claims they played a F2P deck to legend, they are claiming that doesn't need any money, not that they will do it easy and in a breeze.

Time is money. If it takes 2x as many games to get legend with this deck than with a cheap zoo list, then it isn't really a F2P legend-caliber deck. The target demographic of F2P players will never get legend using it because they don't play hundreds of games of a deck in a month.
In other words a 51% winrate & time could get a lot of janky decks to legend, but if it means you have to play the game full time it isn't free, time is also a currency.
First of all: In this game, and this kinds of games in general, time is exactly the alternative to money, so you can't say just like that that time is money. Either you invest money, or time. If you translate time to money, then there is literally NO game that is free, which is pretty ridiculous.
Second: The amount of time that 2 players may need to hit legend with the same deck is gonna be always different and a matter of skill, not the deck alone. So you may need 190 games to hit legend with Zoo, while other player may need 100 games. The comparison makes absolutely no sense.
Third point: No one says that is guaranteed to get to legend with any deck, or that you will get guaranteed a certain %wr, but even if it meant that, it IS still a f2p deck, the amount of time needed doesn't mean anything.

I'm missing a lot of core cards for a lot of the more expensive decks and I've been playing about a year and a half. I found the best way is to make a zoo deck because they are super cheap and then disenchant all the cards that you don't use and make a deck you enjoy playing, for me this was tempo Mage so I disenchanted all my other cards to make a tempo Mage to grind ladder with. Missing core cards isn't all that big of a deal if you play what you like and for fun.
This is exactly what I did. This is only my second season playing. I was able to craft a cheap zoolock deck which got me to around rank 12 on ladder which I'm more than fine with, while also greatly improving my skill and knowledge base of the game. Now I'm working on a Miracle Rogue deck which I find to be so much fun to play. Definitely a great course of action for new players.

Only someone even more stupid would say that a game where you can win without spending a dime is p2w. When someone makes it to high legend ranks without spending a penny, then is pretty obvious you don't need to pay to win, which makes the term p2w pretty absurd.
A p2w game is a game where you have some advantages only behind paywalls, but in HS you can get EVERYTHING without spending money, you just need to get gold in the game.
The fact that you lose because you are a worst player doesn't mean that you will win more by having better cards (and even if that were the case, you can have those cards for free, just by playing)
But well, this make your whining even funnier.
This is one of the cheapest games to play that isn't strictly fremium, and certainly the cheapest card game of all time. No other card game gives you stuff for free. I'll never understand the mindset that this is a pay to win game, and OP even demonstrates that you don't need a shit ton of legendaries to build a competitive deck.
On topic, I just ran into this deck on ladder. It's the only warrior variant I've faced this season that can beat midrange hunter.

This deck is great. I also have a F2P account on the Asia server but I got lucky and opened a Leeroy, so I swapped it into this list for a Kor'kron. It actually made the deck worse because Kor'kron is used so often in the mid-game and Leeroy doesn't fill that role. Great job building this deck...I'm going to keep it as my go-to deck on the Asia server.

f2p is alot different than 'no rares+" requirement. f2p is just a new fresh account and whichever cards you open you can put them in, barring legendaries perhaps. this ends up decks that are 90% close to net decks since you can still use rares.

I realised two Battle Rages are a must after a few games so I swapped the Taskmasters for 2 Rampages, it works great with Bloodhoof Brave.

This is a very interesting twist on worgen warrior, I tried to build one with a control-ish style and only one piece of combo (worgen, charge, inner rage and faceless) but the fact that it required one thaurissan tick and drawing nearly your entire deck made it too slow and I couldn't have good results with it. I'm curious about the playstyle of this one, is it more aggressive or do you try to build up the combo and control the board?

Deck seems super packed, almost impossible to cut any cards.
For example, if I have Emperor Thaurissan, Patrons obviously (same wing) and 1X frothing berserker, Blood to Ichor etc. Is there a way to improve this deck? I suspect Emperor T doesn't help much unless you have all combo pieces. Frothing is OK but probably gets killed too fast.
And if you swap Patron for 1 Raging Worgen - then you depend on pulling that single Worgen out of you deck and it could loose you a match if game gets too long.
Maybe this deck doesn't need any improvements?

I don't think patron fits too well on this deck. You will probably need to run 2 patrons +ww+ichor, etc. Emperor is usually run when you have the faceless version. I guess you could technically cut mad bombers for emperor and faceless but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks! You can usually pop block before turn 9 and still have some leftover chargers/weapons to finish off the game, but freeze mage isn't a common enough match-up to be worth teching against anyways.

How many games did it take though? That's the kicker any time someone does this with something they claim to be F2P.
If it took twice as long as it would with a normal deck then it's not really "free" as the average player probably can't afford to spend that much time laddering in any given month.

How is it not free? If you don't spend a penny, is free.
The time invested in piloting this deck to legend is gonna be very different between each player. One can do it with a consistent 60%WR, maybe other will do it with a 70%WR and others can do it with a 52% win rate.
In fact the amount of time that each player can put into the game can't be measured that easy honestly. For some players, playing more than 3 games a day is way too much, for others, is easy to get a couple free hours and play 10 or 12 games a day.
When someone claims they played a F2P deck to legend, they are claiming that doesn't need any money, not that they will do it easy and in a breeze.

Time is money. If it takes 2x as many games to get legend with this deck than with a cheap zoo list, then it isn't really a F2P legend-caliber deck. The target demographic of F2P players will never get legend using it because they don't play hundreds of games of a deck in a month.
In other words a 51% winrate & time could get a lot of janky decks to legend, but if it means you have to play the game full time it isn't free, time is also a currency.

First of all: In this game, and this kinds of games in general, time is exactly the alternative to money, so you can't say just like that that time is money. Either you invest money, or time. If you translate time to money, then there is literally NO game that is free, which is pretty ridiculous.
Second: The amount of time that 2 players may need to hit legend with the same deck is gonna be always different and a matter of skill, not the deck alone. So you may need 190 games to hit legend with Zoo, while other player may need 100 games. The comparison makes absolutely no sense.
Third point: No one says that is guaranteed to get to legend with any deck, or that you will get guaranteed a certain %wr, but even if it meant that, it IS still a f2p deck, the amount of time needed doesn't mean anything.

I'm missing a lot of core cards for a lot of the more expensive decks and I've been playing about a year and a half. I found the best way is to make a zoo deck because they are super cheap and then disenchant all the cards that you don't use and make a deck you enjoy playing, for me this was tempo Mage so I disenchanted all my other cards to make a tempo Mage to grind ladder with. Missing core cards isn't all that big of a deal if you play what you like and for fun.

This is exactly what I did. This is only my second season playing. I was able to craft a cheap zoolock deck which got me to around rank 12 on ladder which I'm more than fine with, while also greatly improving my skill and knowledge base of the game. Now I'm working on a Miracle Rogue deck which I find to be so much fun to play. Definitely a great course of action for new players.

The guy that posted this topic said him self it is much easier if you acctualy have better cards.
I do not want some kid to have a tantrum right now, playing from rank 3 to rank legend is still a fine job on his part. Of course it was on Asia server. Things like that can work there and on NA but on EU with the huge amount of control decks it would not work.
Plsu people did not know what they where playing againt, now once you do it will be much harder to win.

Only someone even more stupid would say that a game where you can win without spending a dime is p2w. When someone makes it to high legend ranks without spending a penny, then is pretty obvious you don't need to pay to win, which makes the term p2w pretty absurd.
A p2w game is a game where you have some advantages only behind paywalls, but in HS you can get EVERYTHING without spending money, you just need to get gold in the game.
The fact that you lose because you are a worst player doesn't mean that you will win more by having better cards (and even if that were the case, you can have those cards for free, just by playing) But well, this make your whining even funnier.

This is one of the cheapest games to play that isn't strictly fremium, and certainly the cheapest card game of all time. No other card game gives you stuff for free. I'll never understand the mindset that this is a pay to win game, and OP even demonstrates that you don't need a shit ton of legendaries to build a competitive deck.
On topic, I just ran into this deck on ladder. It's the only warrior variant I've faced this season that can beat midrange hunter.

With infinite games you will eventually hit legend with any non 0 winrate. This is meaningless from a practical standpoint, though.
