I'm gonna keep this story short. We were having a discussion in class, and the TA was talking about some philosophical issue or something, and asked the rhetorical question "Who am I?". Being the incredibly intelligent and mature college student I am, my mouth decided to open and say "None of your business!". Needless to say, I'm not gonna show up to that class for the rest of the year

In the first week of TGT I wondered if I should craft Lock and Load for a wacky semi-competetive Hunter or MC for a wacky secret Paladin (this was even pre Xixo's team league bringing of Secret Paladin). Well I managed to get top 50 legend with Eye for an Eye at least

I started playing secret pally on the release day after my aggro druid started running into them as 50% of my matches. I looked up half a dozen builds and chose the one that was fastest to start since there was no reference point, played 100 games under rank 5, then switched to a mid-range build that was basically where the deck ended up a few months later and went 12-1 to legend. I stopped at rank 900ish because I was exhausted from playing 400 games in a week, but that was the only time I actually committed to the legend grind.

After quick mental arithmetic, I'd say you can get it even if you have a job and can only play a bit in the evening during the week, but you'd have to play more than 12 hours on the weekend, which probably requires having no friends.
So maybe it's not necessary to have no job AND no friends, no job OR no friends is enough.

Most people have the occasional slow week or two where they could do this. The hard part, so I hear, is that the seasons are so short you have to do that every couple of weeks. Even Kripp, a professional streamer, has only bothered a couple of times (or maybe it was just once?).

200 games were secret pally, the others were mainly aggro druid with a little Dragon priest and other decks. I can play some at work due to having a large amount of sporadic down time, so I was playing throughout the day and 2-3 hours at night except for the final day which I had off and spent roughly 8 hours from the afternoon until 1ish playing.
I didn't log in on the actual last couple days of the month but I did play 5 or 6 games in legend before settling in at roughly the same rank I was at once hitting legend.
I will say though that I found it very interesting that I had to break top 1000 to reach legend when there were at least 3k players there at the time. It kinda shows how many people could actually reach legend if not for the games won requirement which goes much easier if you get a lucky streak. I feel that this could be fixed by automatically getting legend if you surpass X number of legend players.

It's an average of 226 games with a win rate of 60%. I played a lot at work so I was playing with sub optimal concentration and I spent over 200 games between rank 2 and legend learning a brand new deck, so your millage will vary

Ipad Hearthstone has an audio bug where ~1 sec of audio will play randomly even if mute is on. I have been playing at the start of class and " -- soul shall be mine!" randomly played. The teacher looked at me funny.

Being the comedy genius that I am I should probably tell you that a random reference is not a good joke on it's own. If you just say something like that out of no where what do you expect? Even if they did play hearthstone they would just be like "um yeah okay I play hearthstone as well". I mean no one would laugh at that just because they know where it's from.
If you want to do it right you gotta say a reference in a situation when it would already be funny. It being a reference and people knowing it should only help the joke a little, not decide if it's funny or not.
