I beg to differ, the writers (Alex Hirsh and co.) would have loved to kill off a character or two, I'm sure. At least, more than they already did. I'm sure if they could have had Stanley's memory gone forever, or him dead, they would have gone that route. But good ole Disney, gotta have a happy ending for all.
I've never been taken on such an emotional rollercoaster before this show. I actually thought they were going to follow through with Stan being a vegetable, after the fact I thought (not for the first time) "holy shit this is freaking dark for a kid's show"

If he had truly wanted to catch them, he wouldn't have turned into a giant, terrifying monster that can't maneuver through the hallways. It seems kind of like he was taking out his anger through the thrill of the chase, as well as by scaring them with his monstrous form.

It's not 100% satire but being there can put you in an overly cynical mood that you wouldn't normally be in. It's like a self sustaining reaction. People are cynical on a -chan site because spending time there makes them feel cynical about things, which leads to them causing the same reaction from other people going there.
No it's not (for the most part). That would be too great a commitment for all the users to keep up. Sure, there's trolling, baiting, and shitposting, but most of the cynicism you see there is genuine.
Eh. It's not like you can tell. I know my cynicism on there has been about 90% ironic. And most the time I hang out on /tg/, /u/, or /f/, and can go days without seeing cynicism of any kind.
