Can confirm, I was managing a GameStop when it happened. I was on /b/ giving out phone numbers to stores all over the country with specific names to ask for and a few phone numbers of district managers. I prank called one particular store over and over again and sent that manager into a a blind rage. He was screaming at me over the phone "...If I ever find out who the fuck you are, I swear to god I'll come to your house..." It was a blast.
Can't recall that one.
First level music was on point too. I think whole game's soundtrack was pretty damn good overrall. Don't even think I beat it because it was too difficult for my simple ass.

About 16 years ago, we continuously pranked a Chinese food restaurant. It was so frequent that they involved the police and put traces on the line, whatever the hell that meant. Four of us got caught. My line was listed only once (I still remember who did it, too). My mom, being the person she is, didn't yell at me, or ground me for a long period of time. Instead, she took me to the Chinese food restaurant "for lunch". We walk in, walk to the back room, and there's a group of the workers, all sitting there casually at the table, just staring at me. They offered me a seat. I sat down, looked at each of them, and could see the frustration and exhaustion in their faces. I mean, you guys have no idea just how much we did this.
My mom says what do you have to say now? I lost it. Not because I was a kid and in trouble, but because I saw how miserable these people looked, and I was the cause of it. If it were another day and age, they'd have beat the fuck out of me. I was embarrassed more than I can even describe.
Oh, and 20 hours of community service.

We discovered them in the yellow pages one boring Sunday and so one guy who has just seen Peter Seller's "The Party" did this nervous Indian just off the boat wants to get laid bit that I am convinced had we the YouTube back in those days, would be a viral sensation.
On the other hand probably a good thing there is no evidence of shenanigans, this generation is so fucked.

About 25 years ago, a guy in my city went by the name Ya Yah, and his name was in the phone book. He sounded like was from some sort of Middle Eastern country, I don't know which. My friends and I, whenever bored, would prank call the shit out of him, each time he would scream at us, would say he would cut off our asses and feed them to his goat. Or that he would trace us and cut off our testicles and boil them for us to eat. He would always say he's getting his number taken out of the phone book... but that wouldn't stop us a we had his number anyway. One of my friends had it on speed dial. We only did it a few times a month, but it was enough to piss him off.
Once we turned 13 or 14, it wasn't funny anymore and we just stopped. He did succeed in having his number taken out of the phone book, though.
there is no evidence of shenanigans, this generation is so fucked.
I think about this a lot. I am very grateful.

I got busted stealing shit when I was a kid and my dad took me down to the local police station where they have me grand tour of the lockup cells.
There was some drunk guy sleeping in one of the cells, and just as I was being given the lecture by one of the policemen Mr Sleepydrunk let loose a fart from hell. It was so bad I thought they would move us away, but no, the officer just kept talking through it.
Someone needs to take this into gold and silver and try to sell it to them. They should pay a hefty price considering how many people have requested one!

EDIT - I lied... I didn't realize there are two legendary Mantes... I have two Urban Mantes.
That's not balanced. It was an unstoppable force when used "defensively," which just means if you camped with it the enemy couldn't get onto your team's side of the map. It ruined Ragnarok.
You're right, but sometimes it just felt like your team had no chance when they were up against a good player in a mantis. It made most BTB games incredibly frustrating.
I don't think it was on the map by default. But ordnance drops made every BTB game in Halo 4 a power weapon party. If you only played Halo 4 like two years after it came out then you didn't have to deal with that stuff as much.
I had one! I have no idea what it was called but it was awesome! Remote-controlled mech with a built-in walkie-talkie. I mean, it was a piece of shit that never worked, but the IDEA of marching it into my older brother's room and shooting him from the safety of my own was too good to pass up!
Does anyone else remember a Jimmy Neutron episode where Jimmy and Karl were hanging out playing a battletoads game in the beginning? Because it should have looked like this.

The chief turned to examine his new target; easily 7ft, muscular and with a pair of spike grenades hung loosely off his belt, clanking together.
The Chief slapped the buttplate of his MJOLNIR power armour, Let's not scratch the paint.

Halo 4's Mantis was balanced. It was a strong defensive tool that faltered when used offensively.

I don't think it was on the map by default. But ordnance drops made every BTB game in Halo 4 a power weapon party. If you only played Halo 4 like two years after it came out then you didn't have to deal with that stuff as much.
