Back in early March, I posted a few tweets showing me playing songs like "Take on Me" and "The Final Countdown" using the in-game ocarina from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D. Those tweets blew up overnight (to the point where I was featured on Moments https://twitter.com/i/moments/706908955855953920 ) and I sporadically posted more covers in the subsequent months. Now, after requests and some personal deliberation, I've finally compiled almost all of the covers I've posted up to this point. Please enjoy.

Yep. I sometimes try to have a backdrop appropriate to the song. For example the Cantina theme was done in front of the Milk Bar.

I have to say also that your instrument choice complemented each song perfectly. Seriously, Careless Whisper was fucking fantastic. That might be because I happen to love that song and also because of that video of the guy doing it in random places cracks me up.
Edit: I also just went back to watch again and realized you did the drum intro to Never Gonna Give You Up before switching to the deku kid, fucking on point with this shit!

Skilling is much easier nowadays, so making a new account wouldn't be too bad. the Free to Play game today has its limitations, but they've done alot to cater for the f2p players. new f2p quests every so often, more skilling options, more armour options instead of the tacky blue robes for mage =D

DISCLAIMER: My knowledge of music theory is very limited, so some of my terminology here may seem a little off.
It's chromatic if you know how to influence the notes.
L makes a low D.
R makes a low F.
Y makes an A.
X makes a high B.
And A makes a high D.
Tilting the control stick up or down adjusts the pitch by a whole tone (two semitones). So for example, if I tilt the stick down when holding R (low F), it makes low D#. It's possible to adjust it by less, but it's difficult to make it sound clean.
Holding up or down on the control pad (or L and R on N64/GC/VC) shifts the note by one semitone. So if I hold up when pressing Y (which makes A), it makes A#.
These two modifiers can also be compounded. So if I hold A (high D) while also holding up on both the stick and the D-pad, it shifts the note up three semitones, making high F -- the highest possible note in the ocarina's range. Conversely, holding both down when pressing L (low D) makes low B -- the lowest possible note. In all, it's roughly one and a half octaves, hence why all pitches between B and F are ones I distinguish as high/low.
Additionally, left and right on both the stick and pad makes vibrato; however, notes that use the D-pad are vibrato by default, for some reason, so it's only really useful for notes that don't use it.

Nintendo needs to release an actual Music game. This shows how much you can do with this control scheme, and it's not even optimized for non-Game songs.
Throw in moving sheet music, an interesting grading system that can show areas needing practice, and trophies/miiverse rewards...

I have a guitar; the only song I can play on it is many of horror by biffy Clyro, and since that needed some special tuning I haven't even played THAT since I replaced the strings.

Holy shit, I just googled that. I'm very depressed, what a very shitty thing to do to a franchise--remember when Konami was talking about respecting the franchise for sequels that would impress fans? That just killed it right, holy shit.
Suffered depression, Metal Gear helped me get through, now Konami is spitting in my face directly even after canceling Silent Hills with Toro and Junji Ito. At least Kojima is laughing silly with Death Stranding which blow everything out of the water if it lives out to the hype--from what I hear he is planning to do some really experimental shit, like saying that the first hour would be a generic action shooter before suddenly diving into a different genre.

This isn't the first time they've done this though. Mgs revengence when it was first leaked look absolutely kick ass, then it went through a bunch of delays and a name change and when it came out it was a completely different mediocre game. The zombie one looks kinda interesting, but they probably could have pulled some lore into that trailer to explain the zombies and portals and whatnot.

Revengence was at least loyal and respectful of the series, and was made by a different company.
This, this literally looks horrible. What they're going to do is make a zombie based game with tons of microtransactions with mindless gameplay. This is not going to be a good game, Konami really decided to make a zombie based MG game, a series based off of stealth.
There will be no chance of this coming out good in my mind, Konami is a soulless entity at this point. They fire a guy for trying to make good games and right after they spit on him they spit on his series in the most blatant way possible.
It's pretty much certain that they made this game cheap and in the fly, but who is aimed for? MGS fans who've sworn off of Konami and will inevitably hate this game just in respect of Kojima, just forgetting the fact that the trailer spits in the face of the franchise they love? Or people who are interested in a zombie video game who won't play the game because it's part of a franchise they aren't fimilar with?
Hopefully it makes zero money and garners enough hate that they refuse to touch the series again--I'm not saying that a good Metal Gear game without Kojima isn't possible, but Konami is not a good video game company anymore. Not after what they did to the Silent Hill's franchise, and they should be criticized anytime they try to touch MGS.

Wtf are you talking about. Revengence is a fucking phenomenal game. It might even be Platinum Games's best. Its very much not a standard Metal Gear game, not at all, but it isn't trying to be. Its trying to a brilliant spectacle fighter/character action game, and it succeeds entirely.

Mgs5 is pretty decent though I was pretty unhappy with the ending. The way they run the sequels is a little weird so you might be a little lost with the story. There's "the big boss chronicles" which is mgs3, peacewalker, then 5. Then there's the solid snake chronicles which is mgs1, mgs2 then mgs4. There's other games that are between those like twin snakes and whatnot, but the majority of the story is in those 6 games.

Dunno which is best, and I came into MGS V knowing the story of the previous games but never played them.
With that in mind, I had an absolute blast. One of the most fun I've had in a sandbox stealth game. Hell just sandbox or stealth game! I enjoyed the hell out of it once I got past the learning curve, and would say you have something to look forward to. It has the charecteristic silliness for when you need a good laugh at sepcific points, but I'd say it tells a pretty good (if somewhat... uh... hard to follow/silly) story.

This reminds me of when I was young and read in a magazine how to play different pop music and themes on the ocarina. It was all spelled out in long as sequences of C button images. I remember being annoyed that the songs never seem to work in the game, I expected them to be hidden songs that got played after inputing the right buttons, like all the other songs.
Ah the innocence of youth I had when I thought the Simpson theme was a real thing implemented into Oot.

I remember messing around with this exact element a lot. It always interested me that they let you change octaves on the instruments but didn't do anything with that mechanic. Maybe it was supposed to be similar to Windwaker where you could change time signatures. So they planned to have more songs in the game that required you to change octaves like that.
