Everywhere you buy from requires a background check, unless your grandfather passed you down his rifle then I'm sure neither are gonna go for a background check.
Pretty sure family members don't background check each other and neither do best friends. That is the loophole Democrats talk about.

Yes. But also if it's for a best friend or a family member even if it's a modern weapon.
Even if you made it law, no one would follow that law. People have been giving their trusted friends/family guns since the 1600s. They're not gonna head on over to some police station to get a background check on their own son just for that one sale/hand-me-down. In most cases they'd already know about their background better than the police.
Is it some sort of loophole? No more of a loophole than a criminal asking a friend to buy a gun gift for them. How are you gonna stop that? There's just no way to stop it, that felon just got a gun without a background check and it's illegal already. And yet... no one will probably rot in prison for that action.
Though the felon will go back to prison if he is caught for murder or armed robbery.
It's much easier to enforce the actions of immoral destructive behavior, rather than the actions of sales.

The 2nd amendment was originally going to come with 3 rights: right to form a well-functioning militia, individual gun right, and right to avoid draft/conscription. The 3rd was removed because they considered scenarios of homeland invasion.
Similar to how there are multiple rights in other amendments.

I've been here 2 years... Almost 3 now. I've never seen this before so if OP hadn't reposted it, I couldn't have seen it. The big issue of reposts are when you have the same post in a sub at the same time. I cannot stand it when I'm in a smaller sub like /r/whatcouldgowrong and the same link is like 5 posts apart. And they cannot really claim they didn't know, Reddit tells them Hey This Is A Repost. Then they have to start the submission process again.
