I feel like this needs to be posted on /r/explainlikeimfive , because I too occasionally experience this phenomenon and am curious about the reason.

When I was around the age of 14 or so, one of my lower teeth was hurting. So, I went to the dentist and she said that actually one of my upper molars was infected (cavity and such) and that was hurting, but I was only apparently feeling it in my lower jaw due to who knows why!
The pain source triangulation module in my body is wonky and badly needs an upgrade

Basically because the nerves of your upper and lower teeth eventually meet up before going to the brain, sometimes your brain is just too stupid to figure where the pain is coming from. Fun fact: the nerves in your forehead and temple also meet up, so sometimes people get really severe headaches from having a cavity.
I respectfully disagree. This could happen in any part of the world. It's not really "first world" at all. (although it is still a pretty funny post and written in FWP style).
No, a first world problems is something that someone in a 3WC would consider a blessing like, "my home is too big, it takes forever to clean". People in the third world would be happy to have a huge home.
The way I see it, is another kind of FWP. The kind of problem you notice only because everything else is covered. It's just an opinion though, I'm not saying you're wrong.
