I was really into the temple symbolism as a believer. My mission president would always find symbolism in everything and I adopted that mindset. I'd always ask "why are there scriptures on the altar?", "Why do the curtains open up and not sideways?" Things like that.
I always felt the spirit strongly when I made my own connections, like the dew of heaven distilling. It didn't always happen but I enjoyed it for what it was worth.

Had a mission companion who would do that with everything. Find some kind of symbolism, special meaning, gods hand in everything. I had fun doing the same but it was a little twisted. Things like when he'd talk about the sun being like god or church, I'd talk about sunburns and cancer from getting too much of it.

I think the TBM answer would be that Adam does have a spiritual mother, Heavenly Mother......and that Eve, being created in her image, would also inherit that title.

The challenge is that Adam has, or had, no memory of the creation process. At the time of the event question Adam would only know what Elohim tells him in the garden.

I think a response would be along the lines of
1) Adam has some recollection though, enough to recognize that the deity in front of him was his creator, his father. Whatโs to say he doesnโt remember his mother?
2) Thereโs nothing that prohibits Heavenly Mother from being in the Garden as well, at least in Mormon Creationism. Adam could have recognized her as well.
