Current readers doesn't include people who upvoted from their front page right? So couldn't the subreddit readers have upvoted it enough to get it "hot" and then front page readers took it from there?

1750 points doesn't mean 1750 people actually upvoted. Once a post reaches a certain threshold in a short amount of time it will start getting an artificial boost. Nobody understands the algorithm except the points are nowhere close to the actual amount of votes for popular threads.

Firstly: Why would anyone manipulate votes on /r/dankchristianmemes. For what purpose would one?
Secondly: Why would anyone care? So maybe someone manipulates votes, as long as the memes are still both dank and Christian, I couldn't care less.
