It is, but it's original intent was to make sure the Democrats couldn't just not hire black people. Now it's being used on Hispanics, women, Muslims, etc, none of which are owed a damn thing by any American.

From my experience, whoever does the hiring, at any company of size, profiles. You can't help it with any experience doing it. Devil is in the details, now it's never 100%, but you can usually suss it out by either details in grooming, speech, mannerisms or a few well worded questions. Also helps that many people have verbal diarrhea during an interview and will tell you much more than they meant to.

Get an EEOC complaint or discrimination lawsuit filed against your company and watch how fast the new hires change. I'm not tryi g to say hiring managers try to find this out or even mean to, but when your entire job revolves around learning everything you can about a person in a very short window of time and trying to tell what's truth, embellishment or straight up false you get good fast.
What's really funny is I wonder how they will deal with the 57 other "genders" besides gay? I don't think it's fair to hire someone who's gay and not have a gynesexual or grey-asexual. There's two things I would recommend to really play this game:
1) Tell colleges he's part Sami, and that should throw colleges in for a loop because it's a euro-indigenous population of people that actually has a history of being legitimately oppressed by the Swedish government (Plus being that we're both in Minnesota, I'm assuming that like myself, he actually has Scandinavian heritage)
2) If any college asks, he's either a trendysexual or a bisexual guy.

Well I came to a quick realization that after graduation I had to work my ass off to get a low entry job. Than through real traits like persistent, reliability, skillfulness, resourcefulness, and intelligence I was able to move around and get my dream job.
There was no privilege, no old boys club. There was hard work and effort.

The other day I was at a fast-food place and I over heard a conversation from the table next to me. At this table were a bunch of co-workers, among which was a young woman was complaining that her boss (not present) makes more money than she does...
That alone would be sufficient for a chuckle, but one of her co-workers went on to explain that she had just been hired out of an Intern position only months before, while her boss had 15 years experience in a field that has only been around for 15 years (The boss founded the company, and pioneered this tech - I did not hear them mention what the field was). Still, she wanted to know why she was being paid less, and promptly blamed the Wage Gap and sexism...
The conversation went on, but ceased being relevant to the OP, however I think some people may enjoy the content: The table began discussing that one of their co-workers had Hepatitis.
The group was discussing at length which strain of Hepatitis the co-worker had. They were able to nail down two details: 1) He had the kind that affected your liver - they were certain that only one kind of Hepatitis did affect the liver, but they were unsure which one; and 2) Hepatitis cannot be acquired through Sexual Transmission, because the On-Line write-up they were looking at only mentioned transfer of bodily fluids, not "Sexual Transmission" as a means of spreading the illness...
It's too bad that little miss wage gap wasn't the one with the hep... That would have tied the story together quite well
