It is more a concern about where it comes from. Bernie doesn't have a super-PAC so the most he can get from one person would be $2700. Crooked Hillary gets $15+ million just from Wall Street banks. Yes it's a very big issue for many poor, minority, and elderly people who don't have the proper identification. The law was created under false pretenses to stop "voter fraud." In reality there have been about 10 cases of voter impersonation since 2000. But the laws have been shown to reduce turnout by approx 2%, which isn't astronomical but is still extremely significant. The worst part is that lawmakers have admitted their true intent publicly. Wis. congressman Glenn Grothman said in an interview that the purpose of Wisconsin's new voter ID law is to help the state go red in november. Since republicans control most state governments, these laws are just going to proliferate further
everyone has a birth certificate, drivers licence, passport, citizenship card, social sec card, student ID, etc. If having to produce one of those to vote makes you stay home, you were never going to vote in the first place.

First, with claims like those it's always best to provide a source.
Second, even if things are in fact like that, looking at the state of the GOP and the results from the previous elections it's pretty safe to say that they haven't really helped achieve much, despite how unethical/unlawful they may be.

This story has been spun and twisted like a pretzel. Sounds like I'm reading Associated Press or Washington Post. It's like saying suppressing steroid use of your athlete opponents is "cheating" and helps you win.
Democrats have a dirty secret that is kind of out in the open but twisted by the media. They are trying to get ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to vote for them. VoterID suppresses ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT votes, so the dems called it "racist", "unconstitutional", "cheating" because it took away their unfair advantage. Look at all the illegals Hillary & Bernie are appealing to for votes. The dems are trying to cheat in this instance, the Republicans are trying to fix it.
That's not to say the republicans aren't fucking retarded with other shit they do but in this instance they're in the right.

Yes it's a very big issue for many poor, minority, and elderly people who don't have the proper identification. The law was created under false pretenses to stop "voter fraud." In reality there have been about 10 cases of voter impersonation since 2000. But the laws have been shown to reduce turnout by approx 2%, which isn't astronomical but is still extremely significant. The worst part is that lawmakers have admitted their true intent publicly. Wis. congressman Glenn Grothman said in an interview that the purpose of Wisconsin's new voter ID law is to help the state go red in november. Since republicans control most state governments, these laws are just going to proliferate further

everyone has a birth certificate, drivers licence, passport, citizenship card, social sec card, student ID, etc. If having to produce one of those to vote makes you stay home, you were never going to vote in the first place.
