April Fool's Prank Ideas?

If one of your friends does redstone, go into one of his big contraptions and replace a single redstone torch with a regular torch. Fun times.

Set the current world aside, and replace it with the same seed freshly generated, just for April 1.

Get snow block and pumpkins. Put 250 snowmen in a confined space in their house. Works best if you knew where they logged out. XD

My server just been resurrected, still fairly dead. However...

I had plans to act like people are obtaining OP at random. Then when someone "obtains" OP, they are not gaining the OP they are looking for. Our old favorite explanation of OP is Obnoxious Pig. So all OP commands people try to use, made them Oink, rocketed, or teleported into a pig pen.

List:

• Redstone jump scare (Mumbo Jumbo's design)

• Annoying door machine (door/trapdoor/fence gates on a clock) This is the easiest, oldest, and very fun to put near someone's base.

• One way nether portal (xisumavoid's design)

• Cubehamster's UHC mine stairs trap

• Button that doesn't do anything. Leave 'em confused.

• Repeatedly dispense TNT into an obsidian room filled with water. You hear the explosions, but it doesn't do damage.

• Rig their pressure plates to start a noteblock array that rickroll them.

• Water in a room. Turn it into an aquarium.

• Sticky piston under door pressure plate. Person steps on pressure plate, which powers the block under it, which powers the piston. Piston removes pressure plate, which unpowers it, which retracts block. So it would look the same sans pressure plate.

• Turn a room a different color/rearrange rooms or signs

• Rename tools

• Carpets everywhere

• Chickens in dispensers on a clock. Whether that clock be long to gradually spawn chickens, or fast to continually spawn them, is up to you.

And that's all I've got, might think of more but that's my list.

If you run the server, you can set the server to use a Resource Pack in the server.properties. Maybe set it to a really weird resource pack that makes every texture animated or something

Get together a note block, a dropper, a pressure plate, lots of expendable blocks/items and some redstone supplies

Go under their base. Put the dropper over the plate. Wire the redstone to invert the signal from the plate. Hook up the note block and dropper to the same signal. Fill the dropper up and leave.

What should happen is the dropper places the item on the plate, cutting the power. When it despawns thr signal will come back, playing the note and dropping another item down, cutting the power again.

It's an endless loop of very delayed, single notes, that might be ignored at first. It should be hard to find, due to the very slow nature of it.

Btw: Never tried this myself. It SHOULD work, but IDK.

My friend once placed like 80+ Cakes in my house and then hide a few more in my surrounding area. Of course this was for my birthday, but...

Use command blocks to make it test for a player around a certain area to give them status effects, summon invisible golems, subtract XP slowly, etc.

For people with pressureplates by their doors, put TNT under it, then directly under the TNT, put a water source block, give them a good scare but not actually damage anything.

You can have some fun with note blocks on a redstone timer to drive people nuts and send them on a hunt. Youtube has a bunch of "note block prank" videos for ideas!

Make creepers ultra fast and spawn firework explosions when exploding.

Break all of the glass in the the base and give them a chest with just enough sand and coal/fuel to cook it exactly. Also

Spawn a ton of pigs in a room, and put an invisibility potion on them. It's how I (t)roll.

Move or rotate very piece of furniture in their house(other than things like beds) by a single block. Whichever is harder to detect.

Or if it's possible to use command block or some such, make a button/lever/pressure plate that gives whoever activates it the highest possible speed and/or jump boost for about 20 seconds.

Possibly a button with a sign saying 'Do not press' Or something that does absolutely nothing but ignite some tnt in a room full of water.

Or kidnap their pet(if they have one) and leave a ransom note.

back up the world, then create a new one for the server, tell your players the world was corrupted and had to be deleted

I once surrounded and filled my friends entire base with dirt. I didn't move a single block in their house but it was completely filled and had a shell 5 blocks thick. it took a lot of time and dirt but i did it and it was hilarious. (to be extra mean change the server texture for dirt to obsidian to really freak them out when they log on)

make a thing for spawning chickens (where you put a few chickens on a hopper, and feed the hopper into a dispenser that will shoot out eggs whenever they are put into it) and hook up the block preventing the chickens from escaping and going every where to a piston connected to the pressure plate opening their door

A some noteblocks on a long timer loop hidden right under someone's crafting area. So every hour it plays a short tune.

1. Tell your group that you have invited a new player to join, and to be nice to them. Distribute cakes for them to share with the newbie.

2. Download a player skin from one of the gazillion sites offering such.

3. Set as iron golem(if you are nice) or creeper (if not) texture. Spawn one where they will be easily stumbled upon, and use a nametag to mimic a gamer tag being displayed.

4. Save a back up of your world. This step might be out of order.

Haven't tried this myself, as my kids are far more evil than I and I fear payback, so there may be technical issues to iron out. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the preceding dad joke.

Hide a daylight sensor connected to a door somewhere near their house with 5 nametagged Creepers or so (They make no idle sounds and have normal footsteps). They'll hear constant footsteps and occasionally they'll think their door is being opened/closed, as if their house is being haunted by ghostly Villagers.

I think you should change your skin to Herobrine , take nametags off, and start trolling people

When you place your chickens in their house, make a sign shape out of blocks (a large sign) and place a few signs outlining that it's an April Fools prank on the sign, as an excuse for having it. Make a BUD switch under the bottom block of the sign with dispensers, and when they break the sign down it will throw Potions of Harming at them and kill them :D
