to try it put 2 repeating commandblocks and activate them, set the first commandblock's command to: /playsound entity.horse.breathe @p ~ ~ ~ 0.02 2 1 and the second to: /playsound entity.horse.breathe @p ~ ~ ~ 0.03 0 1
and it makes an awsome sound effect!
you can actually make some cool stuff with playsound on a repeating command blocks, can you please submit your own?

There's a lot of other sounds that are interesting but better not on a clock though as well. Here's a good one for owls (1.8 not 1.9 due to MC-92444) /playsound mob.ghast.affectionate_scream @a ~ ~ ~ 1 0.
