How, this is important information you are withholding here.
Two command blocks on a clock.
One tells minecarts to change the motion of nearby pigs to knock them +Z.
One tells minecarts to change the motion of nearby cows to knock them -Z.
Lol I thought you implemented some command block magic to knockback entities related to their current facing. Ty btw
So what exactly would the command for either of these be? I'd love to implement this but don't know where to start.
/execute @e[type=MinecartRideable] ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ rail 0 entitydata @e[type=Pig,r=3] {Motion:[0.0,0.3,0.8]}
This is a really rough implementation, but it gets the job done. A more "professional" contraption would check the minecarts speed and knock mobs accordingly, with all sorts of variables, but eh--it works.
Awesome, thank you! Tempted to just kill any pigmen in the way. Just seeing the code helped a lot.
