Wrong, without landlords there would still be people who couldn't afford a house or would prefer to rent. Hence landlords. More landlords = increased house price, which means more people need to rent.
This process continues until it reaches an equilibrium where there are enough landlords to meet rental demand.
Plus, landlords and property developers are heavily involved in driving construction and growth of the housing market.
And regardless, anyone is free to buy whatever property they please, provided that the purchase in consensual.

Not really though. Labor is not the only source of value, as any economist will tell you. Risk generates value, ideas generate value, and so on. Indeed, sometimes a machine can generate value for years by making products in a factory line, with the only human labour required being basically a one-off investment. In any product or service, value is added on at each step of the supply or manufacturing chain.
Value is entirely subjective and is dictated by the terms of supply and consumer demand. If I can resell a $2 pen for $1000 dollars, I have just generated $998 in surplus value regardless of your opinion, and done no "labour" by your definition - or at least not enough labour to earn that much, that quickly.
So quite simply put, if it makes money, it generates value.

You donโt get how much work it is. Once a month we have to drive around and pick up rent. Driving around town takes a long time, thatโs work. Sometimes assholes wonโt pay and we have to call our jacked minimum wage POC enforcers to rough them up or evict them. When you think of work ethic, you think landlords.
Hiring private collections to intimidate or enforce evictions is illegal. Evictions can only be authorized by the state authorities and self-help is grounds for civil and possibly criminal penalties.

This process continues until it reaches an equilibrium where there are enough landlords to meet rental demand.
Plus, landlords and property developers are heavily involved in driving construction and growth of the housing market.
And regardless, anyone is free to buy whatever property they please, provided that the purchase in consensual.

Someone who canโt afford to buy a house and canโt rent because there are no landchads would need a loan. An overwhelming majority of them would be high risk to a lender demanding high interest rates. Which would make housing more expensive not less because a landchad being less risky can get a better interest rate.

Not really though. Labor is not the only source of value, as any economist will tell you. Risk generates value, ideas generate value, and so on. Indeed, sometimes a machine can generate value for years by making products in a factory line, with the only human labour required being basically a one-off investment. In any product or service, value is added on at each step of the supply or manufacturing chain.
Value is entirely subjective and is dictated by the terms of supply and consumer demand. If I can resell a $2 pen for $1000 dollars, I have just generated $998 in surplus value regardless of your opinion, and done no "labour" by your definition - or at least not enough labour to earn that much, that quickly.
So quite simply put, if it makes money, it generates value.

Landlords teach fiscal and personal responsibility.

Grocery stores also allow for unprecedented consumer choice and convenience.
As a result, they deserve compensation.

Also owning property is a job as is renting out property because you have to maintain said property. A landlord is to love their land and their property like their own and as such demand respect for their land and property from renters. If you do not uphold their rules on their property...Like your parents...We will kick you out. Taxes, repair, land tax, property tax, legal settlements for damages to property...There are even ramifications for us if YOU RENTERS cause too much trouble with the law.
The only people who say "Owning property to rent isn't a job" are people who have never worked a job that actually required management of anything more complicated than a podunk Generals Store timesheet.
Hell most people I see who complain about landlords generally don't even know how to do their taxes.
If you really want to "Fight landlords" manage your finances and buy your own property.
If you can't then stay mad and pay your rent.
