Any time you pass a Chinese takeout box, thereโs a chance Donald is gonna have a stream of projectile diarrhea fly out of his bill. And for what? An ingredient. However, the KING IGNIS will only let you know when heโs concocted an entire recipe. Meaning thereโs only a limited amount of times heโll say it at all, and that chance diminishing slightly every time he says it. I rest my case.
"That sounds like olaf" is by far one of the most annoying lines ever. It doesn't help that it took me a good 20 minutes or so to actually find him so I had to hear the quote a lot.
I just did the frozen world yesterday and it took me a solid half hour to figure out where his head was. I felt a little stupid when I found it...Donald had almost driven me mad by then with that line.

I think they just took elements of FFXV and injected it into Kingdom Hearts 3 because they thought it would flesh out the game, but I'll be honest, I don't want cooking in KH3. It doesn't fit, it's completely unnecessary and I want Donald to shut the hell up about ingredients already.
It fits in that you can have more Disney characters be relevant in the game without making a whole world around them, or do you want a weird summon based loosely around the idea if cooking your enemies?
Actually, now that I said that, I would absolutely have loved Remy as a summon.
Remy could still be in the game and he could still be relevant in some way. What's wrong with the characters just taking a break and having a meal together? It'd be a great cutscene with plenty of banter and a chance to reflect on the past events.
Just because he doesn't have his own world or lacks a summon doesn't mean he would be pointless to include. That doesn't mean he needs his own obnoxious gimmick, though.
That would have been really nice, now that you say it like that. It's my own damn preconditioning that makes me think he has to have a gimmick to be included.
It's just how the gaming industry works. I would have said "these days" after that, but the truth is it's always been about gimmicks. More processing power for systems, better graphics for games, new features, etc. Innovation for the sake of innovation. Not that innovation itself isn't kind of a requirement to move a game forward.
But some things just work and don't really need innovation. Other things don't need to be added just for the sake of innovating.
The gaming industry hasn't fully grasped that concept. It's all about how they can wow people, I guess.
I like the warioware kinda feel of it, but between loading and little cutscenes, the time it takes to get into and out of the 30 second mini games didn't justify trying it out more than a few times. Remmy is really cute, though.
That's the only reason I'm doing it. Once I get perfect on a dish once I never make that dish again. I don't think I've even used any of the dishes I've made because the game's easy enough so far to where I haven't really had a reason to.
I feel like if they ever made a critical mode or nerfed the attractions the game might actually be difficult enough to warrant the food boosts. As it stands any moderately difficult fight gives you an attraction to wipe everything on screen with
The attractions are honestly my least favorite part of the game. I enjoy the way form changes are implemented, but tying attractions to them was the worst idea. Attractions could have easily been like special conditions like the Rock Titan fight, and they would have been way better. But getting Splash Run 3 times a fight because they spawn 4 waves of 50 heartless that all die in two hits isnt fun.

I think a critical mode would need to nerf the attractions, as well as all the other kinds of special commands. Really they wouldn't even have to increase the enemy stats by that much for critical, just severely tone down the frequencies of your specials.
Doing that voice must be brutal. And it's not like he's in a Disney show, where there's easy names to pronounce. Dude has to deadass say shit like Xehanort and Organization XIII, all in that voice. I bet their vocal cords were shot after an hour in the booth!
That one I don't mind as much because there are only a limited number of them and they're tied to the secret ending, so it seems worth it to try and find them all. The ingredients are scattered all over and respawn when you come back, so it seems super unnecessary for the game to point them out
You can still do that. Once you have a Clear Game save file, collecting the proper number of emblems (90/60/30 depending on difficulty) will unlock it in the game's Theater Mode.

I'd argue ffxv wins on this. The food is more important there, we get to see high-quality images of what Iggy cooks, and I never felt the desperation of the ffxv group like that one tine where Iggy couldn't cook and we were all stuck eating cup noodles
