You just made me think of when the MoM said "You really think the world could be saved by just seven people?" When that's literally whats going to happen
But think about it though, these three have a legitimate possibility of dying. Aeleus guarding Ienzo from a strike, Dilan protecting Kairi as a Princess of Heart or Even being killed off because he's a liability to the Seekers of Darkness.
It's a progressive sacrifice and not a deterimental one. It's not like were killing off an established character like Riku, these former members don't have franchise potential.

I've had an idea like this for a while now. Halfway through the game Xehanort successfully summons Kingdom Hearts and asks it to reunify the worlds. Kingdom Hearts does this by literally smashing all the worlds together. You spend the rest of the game exploring the new World, which is a hodgepodge of all the previous areas mashed together, trying to resolve the tensions from cultural differences and help people rebuild, while also trying to stop the keyblade war.
I mean, there wasnโt much from other worlds except from the portals. Itโd be awesome to have different corrupted previous areas connected to each other directly making up the area.

Nomura has said that MoM wont be making an appearance and that the story of union cross will not be resolved with KH3

Before Terra and Aqua had Ventus as their friend, Luxord completed the trio. However, he was banished by Master Eraqus because he willingly dabbled with the Darkness. As a result, Eraqus forbade Terra and Aqua from ever speaking about him again.
Soraโs body gets left behind when he turns into a heartless, venโs heart gets left behind. So if you think about it, it makes perfect sense that Roxas was never truly a nobody at all. And one could argue that the opening sequences of KH games are just dreams. So I personally donโt think that settles anything. But hey, thatโs just me. I just want to play the damn game.
From what I understand of the story, Roxas is a real boy now. He's the product of Ven's heart inside Sora's body, minus Sora's heart, but he's also confirmed to have begun growing his own heart (DDD, I think). Xion and (most likely) Axel are the same way.
I think KH3D also implies they're separate.
The openings may be fake, but they're usually indicative of canonical events within the story.
I could def still be wrong but I feel like there's more evidence toward keeping them separate. Between the three of them, there are three different hearts: Ventus's fractured one, Roxas' nascent one, then Sora's. TBH, all bets were off for a second round of fusion the moment the story decided Roxas and Sora weren't the same dude anymore. From a story standpoint it would be weird to unfuse him from Sora, portray him as an individual, but then reestablish the real/fake dynamic he had with Sora, with Ventus.
All I can say is that I donโt trust Nomura. I donโt think that heโll make the story go the way I described but, simultaneously that makes me think itโs more likely he will.

Characters who were unrelated before are revealed to have had a connection all along (Like, idk, Invi being Larxeneโs childhood friend (somehow), Demyx knowing Aqua (somehow), or one of my favorites, Luxord being Ansem the Wiseโs son). They already did this with Marluxia and Ventus after all lmao

Mickey and Riku going through the Realm of Darkness is actually the tutorial ala Roxas in Twilight Town or Sora at the Islands, something happens that gets them stuck there meaning Sora once again had to find his friends along his journey
Riku will not be a true seeker of light because he uses the darkness. Rather he'll be one of the light's supporting members or an 8th "light" to unbalance the Xblade 7 lights/13 darkness thing and mess with the whole ritual, and KH3 will end on a sort of cliffhanger with the lights and darknesses dissapearing and KH 4 will begin right after 3 with Riku who somehow survived (because he wasn't a light) as the protagonist (sorta like Megaman Zero). There's going to be one or two games in the middle of course detailing Riku's adventure in the realm of darkness (because I'm pretty sure he's the one going to save Aqua) or setting up the back story of some new characters who will play a roll in KH4. Maybe an Terra who feels guilty and mysteriously manifested after the War.
What led me to think about this is if you count the number of lights, it doesn't add up. So you've got Aqua and Ventus pretty much confirmed lights. Sora, Kairi, and Lea are ones, Mickey is most likely one, so that leaves 1 slot. Terra himself consists of like 3 Xehenorts so he's not coming back until after the battle (or I'll be legit mad Nomura). The trailers revealed that Sora is going to go look for Roxas which hints at him as a light. (He's probably coming back with Ventus who inadvertently frees Vanitus as a darkness) So either Riku isn't going to be a Light, or Roxas isn't coming back.

KH3 is the end of the Xehanort saga, all questions should be answered, I don't see this KH4 thing happening with playing as Riku in the RoD because Mikey and Riku set off to save Aqua at the end of 0.2.

That the only thing wrapped up in KH3 will be Xehanort's story. Nothing else will be resolved. Bringing back Roxas/Namine/Xion will be left to another game. Saving Terra after he sacrifices himself will be left up to Aqua and Ven in yet another game.

There is a sidequest in which Bill Cipher is fought the Dream World. Fans argue whether this is a good addition or not. Either way, everyone agrees the fight is hard as balls.
Sora is no guardian of Light. Mickey, Terra, Aqua, Ventus/Roxas, Kairi, Riku and Lea will be the GoL and their clash with the 13 Darknesses will result in theformation of the x-Blade. Sora will be the one who will be chosen by the x-Blade to be it's wielder.
Sora always was an odd case for a Keyblade-wielder in comparision to the other and I think he will remain this abnormally that's why I don't see him as one out of seven. As a maincharacter he will have a special place in the final battle.
Roxas is the XIIIth vessel when revived (Xemnas wants Sora to use the Darkness to revive Roxas)
Xehanort's Guardian is actually Eraqus' Heartless
Braig betrays Xehanort with his "own plans".
Sora's 'secret' was that he rescued Aqua in Destiny Islands (First KH 3 trailer, 0.2 opening), and Riku and Mickey get themselves trapped in the Realm of Darkness and have to be saved/ get out.
Maleficent obtains the book of prophecies, betrays Pete, and enters the fake Enchanted Dominion to rule. (Sora and the others will never find me here).
Lauriam/ Marluxia is back, and a Seeker of Darkness.
Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters will all be enemies at some point.
Lea gets a new outfit as well.
The key to return hearts is actually Sora.
In the final battle, we fight Master Xehanort in monstrous final forms inside of Kingdom Hearts itself.
All seven guardians of light are party members.
All seekers of darkness will be bosses, and we will even get replica data (like KH 2 FM) for rematches
KH 3 will get Final Mix DLC (international this time).
These all seem to be more of "VERY likely" predictions instead of unlikely actually, except 4.
Sora' secret is that he went to the realm of dream to say goodbye to his dream eaters buddies in DDD, there's nothing behind that, he even references it in 0.2 "Well I like to say goodbye to all my friends"
This is true, and it had the ability to open, remove, or transfer hearts if used in such ways.
My point was that it is somewhat impossible for SORA to be a key to return hearts. He would need to learn to either wield a keyblade like that, which is supposed to be his mission according to one KH3 synopsis, or gain the ability to unlock hearts by becoming a keyblade master, which he will have done as well in KH3. Basically, Sora isn't a keyblade with special powers - though he is a crucial part of returning hearts.

Not real crazy, but it'll feel like BBS in the sense that the gigantic battle happens at the Keyblade Graveyard, and then the actual final boss fight takes place somewhere else after the fact. Hopefully Destiny Islands or within Kingdom Hearts itself.

I gave up in KHUX at around mission 200, IIRC. How does it tie into the canon/rest of the series? Like, Donald and Goofy show up, among other Disney characters who are in other games, so it can't take place that long before the rest of the series, right? I don't understand, can you help me?
Yeah what he said! The worlds you visit are just illusions created by the book, the book knows about everything that will happen in the fiture so it has data from every world in existence and in Series 2 they're in the dream realm i believe, so that's how the world's fit in, they're not the real thing. For instance you go to Olympus Colliseum and Hercules is all buff even though BBS shows young scrawny Herc, so its not the real thing.
I was like that at first I'd play for a few days and get bored and stop for a momth or so but the first 300 something quests can be considered the intro, as around quest 330 or so you actually see the KHUX logo on screen and some sort of developing plot, at that point i got sucked in, i started getting good medals and i was playing all the filler because i was interested to see what the next part of the story would be, at this point I'm on quest 450 and I'm enjoying it more than i ever have. It's definitely a slow burn but once it picks up its gets way better, I'll agree ita not for everybody though

Sora "dies" or taken out of the action after the first few worlds and then you spend basically the rest of the game with other characters trying to get him back for the final battle.
DV is a giant tank, he could probably just flick his wrist and destroy Sora, who's used to flashy mages and fellow speedsters. It would be the most amazing cutscene leading into a boss EVER.
Imagine, Sora enters a room, and the lights go out. He's confused, and then, you hear it. A single, iconic breath and the shwoom as a red line of light appears across the room. The music starts, and you can barely process what's happening before you before he goes for the chokehold, and you get a game over.

Terra Aqua and Ven sacrifice themselves to help Sora take out Xehanort, but it's a final death for all of them.
Started with Xehanort screwing up their lives in BBS. Ends with them ending his for good.

fortunately i dont think this will happen, at least not for ventus, he has more story to tell and is connected to union cross which may be the springboard for KH4
Nomura has said that MoM wont be making an appearance and that the story of union cross will not be resolved with KH3

Soraโs body gets left behind when he turns into a heartless, venโs heart gets left behind. So if you think about it, it makes perfect sense that Roxas was never truly a nobody at all. And one could argue that the opening sequences of KH games are just dreams. So I personally donโt think that settles anything. But hey, thatโs just me. I just want to play the damn game.

From what I understand of the story, Roxas is a real boy now. He's the product of Ven's heart inside Sora's body, minus Sora's heart, but he's also confirmed to have begun growing his own heart (DDD, I think). Xion and (most likely) Axel are the same way.
I think KH3D also implies they're separate.
The openings may be fake, but they're usually indicative of canonical events within the story.
I could def still be wrong but I feel like there's more evidence toward keeping them separate. Between the three of them, there are three different hearts: Ventus's fractured one, Roxas' nascent one, then Sora's. TBH, all bets were off for a second round of fusion the moment the story decided Roxas and Sora weren't the same dude anymore. From a story standpoint it would be weird to unfuse him from Sora, portray him as an individual, but then reestablish the real/fake dynamic he had with Sora, with Ventus.

Riku will not be a true seeker of light because he uses the darkness. Rather he'll be one of the light's supporting members or an 8th "light" to unbalance the Xblade 7 lights/13 darkness thing and mess with the whole ritual, and KH3 will end on a sort of cliffhanger with the lights and darknesses dissapearing and KH 4 will begin right after 3 with Riku who somehow survived (because he wasn't a light) as the protagonist (sorta like Megaman Zero). There's going to be one or two games in the middle of course detailing Riku's adventure in the realm of darkness (because I'm pretty sure he's the one going to save Aqua) or setting up the back story of some new characters who will play a roll in KH4. Maybe an Terra who feels guilty and mysteriously manifested after the War.
What led me to think about this is if you count the number of lights, it doesn't add up. So you've got Aqua and Ventus pretty much confirmed lights. Sora, Kairi, and Lea are ones, Mickey is most likely one, so that leaves 1 slot. Terra himself consists of like 3 Xehenorts so he's not coming back until after the battle (or I'll be legit mad Nomura). The trailers revealed that Sora is going to go look for Roxas which hints at him as a light. (He's probably coming back with Ventus who inadvertently frees Vanitus as a darkness) So either Riku isn't going to be a Light, or Roxas isn't coming back.

KH3 is the end of the Xehanort saga, all questions should be answered, I don't see this KH4 thing happening with playing as Riku in the RoD because Mikey and Riku set off to save Aqua at the end of 0.2.

Sora is no guardian of Light. Mickey, Terra, Aqua, Ventus/Roxas, Kairi, Riku and Lea will be the GoL and their clash with the 13 Darknesses will result in theformation of the x-Blade. Sora will be the one who will be chosen by the x-Blade to be it's wielder.
Sora always was an odd case for a Keyblade-wielder in comparision to the other and I think he will remain this abnormally that's why I don't see him as one out of seven. As a maincharacter he will have a special place in the final battle.

Here are my predictions....
Roxas is the XIIIth vessel when revived (Xemnas wants Sora to use the Darkness to revive Roxas)
Xehanort's Guardian is actually Eraqus' Heartless
Braig betrays Xehanort with his "own plans".
Sora's 'secret' was that he rescued Aqua in Destiny Islands (First KH 3 trailer, 0.2 opening), and Riku and Mickey get themselves trapped in the Realm of Darkness and have to be saved/ get out.
Maleficent obtains the book of prophecies, betrays Pete, and enters the fake Enchanted Dominion to rule. (Sora and the others will never find me here).
Lauriam/ Marluxia is back, and a Seeker of Darkness.
Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters will all be enemies at some point.
Lea gets a new outfit as well.
The key to return hearts is actually Sora.
In the final battle, we fight Master Xehanort in monstrous final forms inside of Kingdom Hearts itself.
All seven guardians of light are party members.
All seekers of darkness will be bosses, and we will even get replica data (like KH 2 FM) for rematches
KH 3 will get Final Mix DLC (international this time).
Somebody dies.

Sora' secret is that he went to the realm of dream to say goodbye to his dream eaters buddies in DDD, there's nothing behind that, he even references it in 0.2 "Well I like to say goodbye to all my friends"

This is true, and it had the ability to open, remove, or transfer hearts if used in such ways.
My point was that it is somewhat impossible for SORA to be a key to return hearts. He would need to learn to either wield a keyblade like that, which is supposed to be his mission according to one KH3 synopsis, or gain the ability to unlock hearts by becoming a keyblade master, which he will have done as well in KH3. Basically, Sora isn't a keyblade with special powers - though he is a crucial part of returning hearts.

I gave up in KHUX at around mission 200, IIRC. How does it tie into the canon/rest of the series? Like, Donald and Goofy show up, among other Disney characters who are in other games, so it can't take place that long before the rest of the series, right? I don't understand, can you help me?

Yeah what he said! The worlds you visit are just illusions created by the book, the book knows about everything that will happen in the fiture so it has data from every world in existence and in Series 2 they're in the dream realm i believe, so that's how the world's fit in, they're not the real thing. For instance you go to Olympus Colliseum and Hercules is all buff even though BBS shows young scrawny Herc, so its not the real thing.
I was like that at first I'd play for a few days and get bored and stop for a momth or so but the first 300 something quests can be considered the intro, as around quest 330 or so you actually see the KHUX logo on screen and some sort of developing plot, at that point i got sucked in, i started getting good medals and i was playing all the filler because i was interested to see what the next part of the story would be, at this point I'm on quest 450 and I'm enjoying it more than i ever have. It's definitely a slow burn but once it picks up its gets way better, I'll agree ita not for everybody though

Darth Vader secret boss fight.
DV is a giant tank, he could probably just flick his wrist and destroy Sora, who's used to flashy mages and fellow speedsters. It would be the most amazing cutscene leading into a boss EVER.
Imagine, Sora enters a room, and the lights go out. He's confused, and then, you hear it. A single, iconic breath and the shwoom as a red line of light appears across the room. The music starts, and you can barely process what's happening before you before he goes for the chokehold, and you get a game over.
