Everybody was mackin' on Aqua in that level. Phil definitely had the least subtlety about it, though.

And he still says Sora isn't a real hero even after he consistently wins every single tournament they put on, which includes defeating Hercules and Hades.
For most part of the movie, Hercules wasn't considered a true hero either despite of his strength and regardless of how many bad guys and monsters he defeated. Only when he was in a situation where his strength didn't help him and he was willing to die to save someone else, did they call him a true hero.
Maybe Phil is waiting to see something like that from Sora as well.

Sora did go on to stab himself in the heart to save Kairi (among other things) But I guess seeing as it all happened away from Olympus, Phil will never find out about any of it.
Yeah, that moment also popped into my mind while I was writing my comment. Either way, I'm pretty sure something will happen in KH3 on Olympus that will make Sora be a true hero there.

Phil, I've literally saved all of the worlds, fought like 18 variations of the most dangerous dude in the galaxy, and beat the ever-loving shit out of everyone in this Coliseum.
The thing is that most of the games are about fighting monsters hence the Titans being in it as well as Cerberus and Hades. They get free pass as villians/monsters while heroes have to earn it.

I agree. It's better than Phil treating Sora like a villain. My real concern isn't that Phil let the Heartless in but that the heartless managed to fill out an application form. (And there are forms, Hades produces one in a cutscene.)
I am now picturing a Big Body or a Shadow trying to fill out a form. Can't picture the floating elemental thingies do it though...
