What, that he stole jokes? Yeah, he did do that, although he claims it was accidental and commonplace amongst comedians in the old days, and over time he'd force himself not to hang out in comedy clubs so he wouldn't do it anymore. You can hear him talk about it on Marc Maron's WTF Podcast. I looked it up to jog my memory, got it linked to the relevant part for ya.

Yes I've heard the podcast as others have suggested here. He never says he stole the jokes per-se, just that he would accidentally repeat stuff.
That's beyond completely believable. The point I'm making is that I would like to know the real story regardless of whether it paints him in a positive light or not. It's very hard to discover the truth often, and as time goes on reality will only become more distorted.
Either way he seemed like an exemplary person.

There is no proof. The accusations are all from around the 1970's. Stand-up was really in it it's infancy back then. It's not like today where any shmo in a club can get recorded on a phone or something.
I personally believe that he did. I've heard other comedians accounts of it and it's convinced me. I still love Robin Williams. Everybody makes mistakes and does shitty things but it's not like he made his entire career out of it you know.
