I used to use a lot of sites with DDLs, pages that would index and host on mediafire, megashares, etc. That all died off years ago, and I went back to torrents. Just searching for movies 2019 index brought me to a server with damn near every movie released this year, including a couple that I hadn't even seen on some of the more popular torrent sites yet...and they're all 720p or 1080p mp4s, so the videos open and play meaning I'm sure what I'm downloading is what I actually want before wasting any bandwith. You're my hero.
Edit: Guys, seriously. Go to google and search for "movies index 2019" or any variation thereof. You don't need me to send you anything specific. Besides, after some more looking at the page I found, it seems a lot of the guy's folders with the movie titles are placeholders that just currently contain the trailer, not the movie yet. But seriously. There are tons of links with thousands of movies. If you want to get more specific, trying adding in things like "mp4 mkv avi" etc at the end of the search. It's trial and error for who has what.
Couldn't tell you. I use a VPN, always. I honestly have no idea how these indexes work as far as tracking. I can tell you that almost all the links I've found are playable mp4s, and I'm just saving the video. But honestly, if you're downloading shit, I'd highly suggest getting a VPN. I use Vanish, personally, but there's plenty out there.

Streaming isn't going to be a huge risk, I've only ever heard about people getting notices for seeding content from certain companies. Don't torrent anything from HBO without a VPN, for instance, because they'll issue a DMCA warning to your ISP who will pass it on to you, and may cost you having your service terminated after X amount of warnings.
I (know a guy that) used Popcorn Time a while back when it was popular. Verizon sent them a letter for watching Tosh.0 of all things they watched on it lol. I would use a vpn to be safe. If they have the need and can identify your IP they will pursue how they see fit.
I think everyone should use a vpn not to pirate but just to protect your information from big corporations using it to market shit at you.
I don't think it is possible these days to get a letter from your isp, telling you to stop downloading. The reason why is because of netflix and all other streaming services. Everyone is pulling a bunch of data all at once. Now back the days before streaming services, if you downloaded some stuff, you would stick out from everyone around you because you were pulling in much more data than everyone else. Since many people before would just use their computer to write emails and stuff.
The one thing you should avoid is torrents though, since that will publish your IP when downloading (Which can be traced to you). Just "watching" is a minor offense, and all these large cases have been for "sharing" and distribution of the movies (Thats how torrents work)
I'm not. Physical media is where it's at if you care about quality, I own thousands of blurays for that reason. Having a 4K rip isn't necessary for my use. I usually am a one time watch guy for downloads. I'll buy it if I want to watch a movie more than once. For downloads, 720p or 1080p is more than enough for me.
Plus, a ton of the index files I found were 1080p and 4K.

Right, but I don't care about that. Lol. It's free digital files. That's why I buy physical media. I would never bother downloading a 4K file. That would be such a total waste of my bandwith. Google checks every available IP and Domain name for active webservers. It also, unless you turn off reports all websites you go to in Chrome back to google, if it doesnt exist yet they'll index it eventually.
Some people use servers they are pretty cheap 9โฌ/month with a 10Gbits/sec, mine as a testing/showing server for some projects, i also download on it and stream from home.

I found someones google drive before that was loaded with porn and he had his reddit username linked with the account, and I let him know that anyone using google dorks could find out who he was and told him how to fix it.

Check out ipcams. Basically it's a site that streams people's cameras connected to the internet by using the stock username and password to get into them, it's to show the blatant security flaws in them.
Ok, just got a little nervous because I did it for kicks and giggles and it was a cam that you could move around. Someone got freaked out and started doing adjustments and looking around on it.
Maybe it was someone else who found it on google. I found one of some random courtyard and was moving it around. I thought someone else was too - but there was just a lag on the ability to refocus based on a screen tap. Took me a while to realize it. I wonder if you saw the same camera??

Even if its just downloads you can still "stream" aka put the url into mpv or vlc -- this won't be as responsive as actual streaming to internet speed or whatever as its just playing the file as it downloads but it will be guaranteed same quality all the time. Or you could download it with wget or whatever and start watching the incomplete file, and at the end you'd still have the file

I use to do this at school at least 15 years ago. Loads of stuff out there to be found. Can get browser plugins now days to get everything on the page in one go.
Recently I fell in love with a BBC show on Netflix called Fake or Fortune, but they only have one season. I managed to find about three-fourths of all the episodes via torrent, but was still missing some. I tried your trick, and sure enough, on like page four of Google results, I found an index with every episode. Good shit, man.

Ok so, say I have over 1000 movies on my hard drives at home, and I wanted to share with people (or myself when away from home)....how would I create an index like this and easily find it?
These are usually just standard default Apache directory index lists. That means you can just install Apache, or probably most other web server software, and just tell Apache that you want that directory to be the root of your web server. For any directory that does not have an index.* file, such as index.html or index.php, Apache will just provide a directory listing, which will include the words "Index of" and "Parent Directory".
You're probably behind a NAT Router, so you'll need to configure your router to forward port 80 to your server computer.
As for getting your index indexed by Google, you can probably publish a link on various web forums specifically for stuff like that. Find an appropriate forum and make a post, "Hey guys, look what I've got" and provide a link.
Easy - install Plex on your server. It will catalog your movies (including pulling descriptions, cast info, and art, etc), and allow you to log into to watch anything on your computer when you're away from home, with any device connected to the internet. You can easily share it with other people who sign up for a plex account, and you can give them access to your server. I've been using it for years. As simple as downloading the program on whatever device houses your movies, directing Plex to look in X folder for the files (I personally break it down as movies, adult, indie flicks, and TV, but you can do it however you like) and voila. Done.
Slightly worse than torrenting, probably. With torrents, you depend on people deliberately seeding. If a lot of people detect a virus in that torrent, they wont re-seed it and that torrent will die ... so virus-infected torrents tend to fizzle out while the legit ones thrive. But with downloading some random person's personal files, there's only one guy out there who may or may not have scanned those files for viruses.
That said... Just scan everything you download, and you'll be fine. I always scan absolutely everything I download before opening it, even stuff I download from perfectly legit sites. Oh, and make backups, just in case! (You should be making backups anyway -- hard drives don't last forever, and it's not about if yours will fail, it's about when yours will fail.)
exe or other executable files are easier to embed a virus in, but any file could potentially do it.
It all gets rather complicated, given that modern software is usually designed to prevent this exactly, but some non-executable files can do things such as a buffer overrun, which gives the program opening the file more data than it intended to receive. If the program is vulnerable to an attack like that, the extra data could be written into executable parts of the computer's memory and then run as code ... code which installs a virus.
Obviously, that's a lot more difficult to pull off than convincing some user to open an exe file they shouldn't, but it's been known to happen.
As long as you're using modern, well-designed, and well-updated software, it probably won't be a problem -- good software these days is designed to prevent such a thing from happening, and modern operating systems also have protections in place. But you never know when some link in that chain might have a previously unknown security hole that some virus-maker is able to exploit. So it still makes sense to virus scan files of all types before opening them. That adds an extra level of security because any good antivirus will check for suspicious things like executable code inside a .mp4 file, for example.
Man, I don't know. I've run across TONS of dubbed languages in some of these directories. Spanish, French, Farsi, Russian...they're definitely out there. Keep digging!

I do torrent, but sometimes I don't want to wait the 6 hours it takes to download a movie with my shitty country internet, and would rather just stream instead. Or I don't want to download all the software on my school computer when I'm out and about

Depends on what directories are available. Game of Thrones torrents are usually up within minutes after the episode finishes, because the groups who upload don't have to do anything special to rip them - no commercials to remove, for example. So if someone uploads it quick enough, and it ends up on one of these unsecured directories, yeah, you'd be able to get it. If you want it the same night...probably not. But I'd bet by the next morning.
I've never heard of anyone getting a c&d over downloading. Your ISP might send you a notice about it, and if you've had it happen before they can terminate services, but it's unlikely.

I think that this is not really an ILPT. At least in my country (Czech Republic) I think that you can download movie and if you donโt provide it to anyone else you didnโt done anything illegal. Is this just european thing? Or am I wrong?

It really depends on what you use it for.
I found someones google drive before that was loaded with porn and he had his reddit username linked with the account, and I let him know that anyone using google dorks could find out who he was and told him how to fix it.
You can even find bitcoin wallet backups and stuff using some search quaries and steal their crypto.

Even if its just downloads you can still "stream" aka put the url into mpv or vlc -- this won't be as responsive as actual streaming to internet speed or whatever as its just playing the file as it downloads but it will be guaranteed same quality all the time. Or you could download it with wget or whatever and start watching the incomplete file, and at the end you'd still have the file

These are usually just standard default Apache directory index lists. That means you can just install Apache, or probably most other web server software, and just tell Apache that you want that directory to be the root of your web server. For any directory that does not have an index.* file, such as index.html or index.php, Apache will just provide a directory listing, which will include the words "Index of" and "Parent Directory".
You're probably behind a NAT Router, so you'll need to configure your router to forward port 80 to your server computer.
As for getting your index indexed by Google, you can probably publish a link on various web forums specifically for stuff like that. Find an appropriate forum and make a post, "Hey guys, look what I've got" and provide a link.

Easy - install Plex on your server. It will catalog your movies (including pulling descriptions, cast info, and art, etc), and allow you to log into to watch anything on your computer when you're away from home, with any device connected to the internet. You can easily share it with other people who sign up for a plex account, and you can give them access to your server. I've been using it for years. As simple as downloading the program on whatever device houses your movies, directing Plex to look in X folder for the files (I personally break it down as movies, adult, indie flicks, and TV, but you can do it however you like) and voila. Done.

Slightly worse than torrenting, probably. With torrents, you depend on people deliberately seeding. If a lot of people detect a virus in that torrent, they wont re-seed it and that torrent will die ... so virus-infected torrents tend to fizzle out while the legit ones thrive. But with downloading some random person's personal files, there's only one guy out there who may or may not have scanned those files for viruses.
That said... Just scan everything you download, and you'll be fine. I always scan absolutely everything I download before opening it, even stuff I download from perfectly legit sites. Oh, and make backups, just in case! (You should be making backups anyway -- hard drives don't last forever, and it's not about if yours will fail, it's about when yours will fail.)

exe or other executable files are easier to embed a virus in, but any file could potentially do it.
It all gets rather complicated, given that modern software is usually designed to prevent this exactly, but some non-executable files can do things such as a buffer overrun, which gives the program opening the file more data than it intended to receive. If the program is vulnerable to an attack like that, the extra data could be written into executable parts of the computer's memory and then run as code ... code which installs a virus.
Obviously, that's a lot more difficult to pull off than convincing some user to open an exe file they shouldn't, but it's been known to happen.
As long as you're using modern, well-designed, and well-updated software, it probably won't be a problem -- good software these days is designed to prevent such a thing from happening, and modern operating systems also have protections in place. But you never know when some link in that chain might have a previously unknown security hole that some virus-maker is able to exploit. So it still makes sense to virus scan files of all types before opening them. That adds an extra level of security because any good antivirus will check for suspicious things like executable code inside a .mp4 file, for example.

Depends on what directories are available. Game of Thrones torrents are usually up within minutes after the episode finishes, because the groups who upload don't have to do anything special to rip them - no commercials to remove, for example. So if someone uploads it quick enough, and it ends up on one of these unsecured directories, yeah, you'd be able to get it. If you want it the same night...probably not. But I'd bet by the next morning.

This actually works OMG. However, is it possible to be tracked by IP Address? I don't use a VPN (should I? the websites seem to be obscure, and I use guest mode while browsing, and dont sign into any email addresses.). I downloaded like 10 movies (MCU) then found out that it's possible to get sued over this is this true? I immediately deleted the files. Please help!

I think that this is not really an ILPT. At least in my country (Czech Republic) I think that you can download movie and if you donโt provide it to anyone else you didnโt done anything illegal. Is this just european thing? Or am I wrong?

1337x has a shit ton of pop-overs and is an absolute asshole to use. TPB was shut down years ago, and came back as absolute crap. Neither one of those sites are even remotely good anymore. RARGB is about the only public tracker worth using.

1.grab PC from roadside 2. Install ubuntu 3. Only use said pc for this method and watching what's downloaded and what's the real harm? Even if you get a virus, it's not gonna run anyways
